The Neighborhood:
Summer’s House is located a short 5-minute walk from Braunton, North Devon. Famed for its surfer beaches and quaint country villages, there is so much more that makes it the perfect holiday destination. Braunton is the largest North Devon village, making it the perfect base for exploring the sandy beaches and surf havens of Saunton (2 miles), Croyde (4 miles) Putsborough (3 miles) Woolacombe (4 miles). Hop in the car or on the bus and head out to Ilfracombe (8 miles) to see the aquarium and impressive Damien Hirst statue, Combe Martin (13 miles) for the family-friendly dinosaur park, or to Exmoor (15 miles) to walk the beautiful moorland and visit popular Exmoor Zoo. However, with so many things to do locally, there’s little reason to venture far.

Eat at the famous Squires Fish and Chip restaurant or in many of the small Restaurants and bars located in Braunton - all just a 5 minute walk from the house.

Getting Around:
Devon is a rural location so it is highly recommended that you have a car, although there are good public buses running, especially during peak season from May to September.

- 3 generation Family holiday
We very much enjoyed our week despite disappointing weather and rain. The house was furnished to a very high standard and lots of space as well as being supplied with excellent laundry/drying facilities and on occasions when we were unable to venture out, there was an excellent range of games, drawing/colouring pens etc for the children as well as a large television/WiFi etc throughout the house. The kitchen was very well supplied with cooking appliances, coffee machine etc and good fridge storage and freezer for a family of 6. Would recommend to anyone .. sadly unable to enjoy the garden and BBQ due to the weather!

Wonderful cottage with everything you need
This place is a lovely haven in North Devon. The cottage is clean and has everything you need. Lovely toiletries and well stocked kitchen - super cute too. The hosts were so helpful and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed the beautiful garden and loved that our dog was welcome to stay with us. We loved Saunton Sands nearby for surfing. We will defiantly be back!!
