About this property

Paving the Way to Paris, by Veeve

If you're looking for a peaceful pocket of Paris to recharge the batteries in, after all that cultured sightseeing and obligatory cafe-hopping, we'd highly recommend this picture-perfect corner of the 14th, where tree-lined cobbled streets weave between quaint French villas. Here you'll find an inviting three-bedroom house, set back from the street with its own private little courtyard and contrastingly modern, light-filled interiors. With the Metro Porte d’Orléans Line on your doorstep, you can easily head back into the city again, or be whisked off to nearby Montparnasse Station. Fancy a day off? The lush, landscaped Parc Montsouris is just a stone's throw away — the perfect spot to continue that R&R.

GROUND FLOOR

STUDY & TV ROOM
Entering this home down a few steps, you'll find a well set up office space, boasting a large desk and comfy office chair. And with picturesque views of the courtyard through the window and a cosy TV snug round the corner, we can't think of a better place to get some work done. Not to mention first dibs on a patio spot at the end of the day...

FIRST FLOOR

LIVING ROOM & DINING AREA
Light streams in through the windows to illuminate clean, white interiors in this the open-plan living room. A perfect blend of modern design and cushy comfort, you'll find a beautifully accented rug and tempting-looking pouffe armchair form part of a cosy seating snug, whilst a large table and six chairs offer a bright and airy dining area.

KITCHEN
On the other side of the room is a sleek, generously-sized kitchen, complete with breakfast bar and stools. The kitchen continues through to the back of the house, keeping the cooking area helpfully separate and offering glass doors onto a little terrace. Why bother cooking if you can't sneak outside to sip a glass of wine every now and then?

SECOND FLOOR

FIRST BEDROOM
Fresh interiors are charmingly decorated with colourful postcards and trailing ivy in this delightful bedroom overlooking the street. There's also a handy desk and chair if you need an extra remote work spot. Sleeping options abound too, with a raised double bed on top and a comfy single sofa bed underneath. The raised bed is a little delicate, so whilst it can certainly sleep two children we'd say one adult is the way to go.

FAMILY BATHROOM
Gleaming tiles and clean lines make for a good-sized, modern bathroom, featuring a bath with handheld shower, a double wash basin, and a WC.

SECOND BEDROOM
Glowing white interiors and a simple, minimalist aesthetic create a pervasive sense of calm in this second bedroom, which comes with a desk and office chair, and two generously-sized bunk beds. The bunks are both doubles, so nice and roomy but probably best suited to one adult per bunk. If you're thinking of making this another children's room however, two children per bed is fine.

SECOND FLOOR

PRINCIPAL BEDROOM
Along with its own ensuite, the principal bedroom enjoys oodles of natural light, pared-down design, and a pull-out double bed. Being on its own top floor, you also get the joys of rooftop views and a welcome slice of peace and quiet...

ENSUITE
A sizeable bathroom awash with tan tiles and illuminated from the skylight above. You'll find a large shower, single wash basin, and WC. Plus an extra inviting corner bath, ideal for the odd indulgent night in.

We love...
The street this home is nestled on is like something out of an old-time Paris brochure, with rolling cobbled streets, attractive shutter-fronted buildings, and swathes of greenery. We're also very keen on the little sheltered patio garden, screened off from the street by a rather fetching olive tree. This plus a small table and chairs affords a rather ambient little arbour for relaxing in the fresh air. Ideally with a few drinks and nibbles.

**To rent this property, the minimum age requirement is 25 years old.**

Home Truths:
No smoking, pets or parties! This house has three floors with quite a few steps. The raised beds are a little delicate, so we'd say 2 children per bed is fine but no more than 1 adult.
