Fantastic find, Bill was a lovely host giving us some details of the surroundings and local area, also on hand by phone if we needed anything. The lodge was lovely, made sustainability and even though it was freezing outside the lodge was very cosy. Beds were SUPER comfy, both rooms had only had 2 singles pushed together though no double, wasn't really an issue as had booked the escape with my mum and the dogsHot tub was great and private. The view of the stars was amazing. Lovely walk into the next town of Gainford via the river. And loads of fab dog walks within a 30min drive. We are looking to book again for next year

The perfect getaway in the most tranquil location right on the river tees.

The perfect getaway in the most tranquil location right on the river tees. The facilities and amenities tailored just to our needs. There is so much to explore within the surrounding areas you won’t be short for things to do. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the log burner. The lodge is dog friendly and we loved the extra bonus that the outside area is closed off so our dog could wonder freely on the decking. The sliding patio doors are such a wow factor and a special extra touch to wake up to gorgeous views of the fields and river from the comfort of your bed. Will definitely be staying again in the very near future.
