Hazelwood, stylish, sunny apartment in a pretty Somerset village
Hazelwood is a stylish newly renovated self contained apartment overlooking an acre of beautiful gardens and fields beyond. It is south facing, sunny and bright. Excellent fibre broadband, with both a table and also a breakfast bar to work from, and a beautiful floor to ceiling tiled bathroom with large walk-in shower. Open-plan modern dining room/kitchen/lounge.
Hazelwood Apartment is a 400 metre flat walk around the corner from the pretty 17th century market square of Somerton. There are two bakeries, two cafes, fabulous eating places, a wonderful health food shop, fresh fruit and veg, butcher, Co-op, antiques emporium, gift shops, craft shop, hairdressers and a Boots chemist. Viaduct Fishery is one of the prettiest commercial fisheries in the country with six well stocked lakes and is a short walk from The Mount.
There are wonderful National Trust properties just a short drive away, Lytes Cary, Montecute and Barrington Court, not to forget the beautiful Stourhead. The stunning Wells Cathedral and Bishops Palace is only a 30 min drive, Glastonbury Tor just 15 mins away and so is Clarks Village with 95 outlet stores. The stunning Cheddar Gorge and caves and Wookey Hole are only a 30 - 40 min drive.

About the host
Hosted by Trish
We (Trish and Henry) live onsite in a seperate part of the property and we are delighted to help anytime, if you need anything. We have a very friendly Labrador who will be pleased if you say hello to her.
We have lived in this house for ten years. Until Covid struck, we operated a very busy bed and breakfast. We found that a lot of guests really appreciated the space this property offers, so during the pandemic we renovated and changed the layout to comprise two spacious, sunny, self contained apartments.

What makes this property unique
Hazelwood is ideal for both a peaceful rural village break - but also it is very much a good place to keep up with your office work, with excellent broadband and two sunny areas to use your laptop.
