About this property
Cosy Creative East London Flat
An oasis of calm and comfort in the hustle and bustle of the east end!
You'll be staying near Shoreditch and 5-minutes from Stepney Green tube station and Queen Mary University. Around 15-20 mins walking, you'll reach the beautiful and expansive Victoria Park - a great location for a run or a meal in nearby Victoria Park Village.
The apartment is super clean and was redone in 2022. You'll enjoy Nespresso coffee and Fortnum and Mason tea, gorgeous natural products in the shower, and plush and comfortable cotton and down bedding. Blackout curtains will block the early morning sun to ensure you're well rested to enjoy the City! If you're staying in to work or watch TV, you'll have reliable, ultra-fast, fibre broadband internet.
Note for Summer 2025: Building work / renovations on the top floor of the building.
Work takes place Monday-Saturday, 08:00 - 17:00. Saturdays is quiet / light work.
There is no real impact on the apartment and the worst of the noise and dust is now over. So, until September/October 2025, you'll encounter scaffolding and maybe some building noise for a few hours in the afternoon (almost always quiet by 4pm). The workers are great about trying to wait until late morning before doing any really noisy work.
Prices for this season, especially weekday rates are reduced to reflect this.

Had a wonderful stay here. Location was only a short walking distance from tube, bus, and various grocery store options. Brett was a wonderful host with a wonderful and cozy apartment. Very attentive to any needs we could have. Couldnt have stayed in a better place.
Walkable area, at least 3 grocery stores within 10 min walk, 3 pubs, 3 cafes. Cozy stay, very clean, host was very kind and available for any questions we had :)
Brett’s place is a great location near several tube/trains lines. So eve when London does it’s best to stop you travelling on a sunday you can get to where you want to goThe flat itself is perfect for 2 people. My gf and I ‘worked from home’ for a day and hung out for 2 days there. The furniture and decoration is great, especially if you are into mid 20th century design. The kitchen is well stocked with basics, the cookware is fantastic. The knife is sharp! There are local supermarkerts within 5 minutes walk and bigger supermarkets not much further away. There is also Bethnal Green High Street and Roman Road very close by. Brett went above and beyond to help us out and was a joy to communicate with.
Fabulous flat. Clean, cozy and comfortable. Everything was very walkable from this location and there were many tube stops to choose from. The manager/owner was very helpful and responsive to any questions. Will definitely book again if accommodations are needed in that part of town.
I booked with only a couple days' notice and Brett was quick to respond with information about check-in.
The condo is lovely. Very comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. Brett provides everything you need (coffee and tea, shower supplies, etc) and even a travel adaptor which came in very handy!
The location is just a couple minutes walk to Stepney Green, and about 15-20 minutes to Bethnal Green which was great for me to get around the city.
I highly recommend this apartment: Brett is a fantastic host and the apartment is perfect.
Pleasant little flat in a quiet neighbourhood, close to public transit (Stepney Green tube less than five minutes away), a large Sainsbury & a couple of good pubs nearby. For evenings in, the TV was quirky (Apple TV doesn't enable access to regular programmes like BBC News or Sky Sports), but I wasn't home much in the evenings. Took a few turns to figure out the shower & the walls are v. thin: could hear all sorts of neighbour noise. The host was helpful when needed (came over one day to fix TV). Large & diverse personal library, I wouldn't touch for fear of having them crash like bricks :-)
Charmingly decorated flat in a quiet East London neighborhood between the Stepney Green and Bethnal Green undergrouond stations (closer to Stepney Green). Clothes washer/dryer a plus. The flat is very compact and has no closet space or dresser, so we had to improvise space to live out of our open suitcases (one on the sofa and one on the large counter space in the kitchen. The bed is a queen size and quite comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet, so we got a good night's rest. But the shower is very small and has no shelf or hand grips. The flat is one flight up from the entrance to the building. We stayed for three weeks and it was a bit awkward living out of our suitcases. We think this flat would be better suited to younger travelers staying for shorter periods of time. Brett is a terrific host and whenever we needed assistance he was quick to help.
As we dragged our luggage out of the Stepney Green Tube stop and headed toward the apartment a few blocks away, I wasn't sure if I had picked the right spot. The neighborhood is high-density, without much green, but it turned out to be a quiet neighborhood of working people, many women in hijab and health care workers from the nearby hospital, and there was not a sound to be heard even (especially, maybe) on Friday night. The apartment is smallish, but I've been in smaller, and it's been carefully prepared for visitors, with a comfortable bed, art on the walls, a library of art/political science/culture books within reach of the bed, and restful colors. The appliances, kitchen and bathroom look new and well cared for; it was nice to find boxes of tea and sugar in the kitchen. There was even a tiny freezer, which as an American I assumed would be standard--but that is not the case in Britain! There is an air cleaner that doubles as a fan and made it very comfortable even in the unusually hot weather; the big windows opened to add a breeze. But I have to say the star of the show was Brett, the owner, who was super responsive even though he was in Canada at the time, and who helped us speak to his lockbox system when we had trouble initially. He went out of his way to be helpful overall and I felt very confident that if there was anything we needed, he would be on it immediately. I'd happily stay there again!
Communication with owner was excellent and very clear which made checking in really quick and easy. Accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable. Location was fantastic.

Why they chose this property
Bethnal Green is a fantastic area. The apartment is within walking distance two tube stations, convenient for sightseeing! But East London is a destination on its own: filled with restaurants (from fried chicken to fine dining!), beautiful parks (Victoria Park, London Fields), and a mix of international, young, creative people.
What makes this property unique
This is my own home, so it's a quirky reflection of who I am! A mixture of my own pictures and artist creation decorate the walls. There are Stacks of books on politics, history, art, travel. Nearly all of the furniture has been collected over my fifteen years in London, from auctions and shops all around the country.
Comfort is king, so you'll have nice, cotton bedding and thick, clean, white towels. You'll also have plenty of Nespresso pods and teabags for the morning and lovely products for the shower. And if there's anything you want or need, you'll have a host who is happy to make it happen!
