Welcome to Sandy Bay Hideaway - Detached beach house, ideal for couples or a family with young children (perfect for a family of 4 plus an infant) - part of The Bay Filey holiday village - with pool and beach access nearby! The owners own the next door beach house - so its ideal to book alongside Sandy Feet Retreat for a large multi family break!

Sandy Bay Hideaway is located on Blue Anchor Road - a favourite for families - being located in the centre of the village, close to the beach, tennis court, playground and village centre. Enjoy a spacious south facing terrace with long dog leads for your favourite friends to relax in the sun!

Enter Sandy Bay Hideaway through the step free door into the hallway with storage for shoes and coats. To your left are the master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room, and the second bedroom with two single beds.

There is also another shower room with jack-and-jill doors.

To the right is the open-plan kitchen / dining / lounge space with sumptuous leather sofas and SMART TV (with Netflix, amazon prime, Apple TV etc - bring your own logins). Exit through the large bifold doors to the deck with seating, ideal for alfresco dining or sitting out whilst the children play outside.

We leave a few games for our guests to use. The log burner makes this beach house warm and cosy for breaks all year round.

Lovely stay at Sandy Bay Hideaway

The beach house was absolutely lovely, great location with direct access to the beach. Perfect for a family half term getaway Anchor Bay service was excellent too.

Long Weekend family break

Sandy Bay hideaway is in a great position, close to the pool, shop, pub and path to the beach, but is still very quite and relaxing. We enjoyed our trip, but sandy bay was visibly run down and just felt a little tired, with what looked like mould on my sons bedroom carpet floor, the bed bases looked old and mould round both shower floors / screens, a lot of paint work scuffed / faded in every room and some of the kitchen equipment / drawers were dirty and / or damaged, as well as the master dressing table which looked horrendous with some yellow staining and marks. The decking outside had loads of rotten away parts which, even though we’re all young and fit was a balancing act to walk across to avoid falling or tripping - which took the shine off the place a bit. The shower in the master en-suite was disappointing, purely down to the lack of power in the flow, which is odd as the tap pressure in the sinks was good. The bedding, sofas, fire, the heating flexibility, comfy seating outside, ease of checking in and welcome pack were all lovely and despite the few little niggles from no doubt the age and use of the cottage we really enjoyed our long weekend away, albeit we wouldn’t choose to stay at this cottage again in the near future, unless it was refurbed - thank you

Thank you for the review. The things you have pointed are in the process of being or have been addressed! New beds are on the way, the dresser has been replaced and the site management tea, are looking into the decking which they will replace. Thanks again!
