This one bedroom apartment is in a quiet residential neighborhood nestled at the foot of Hunger Mountain. Private entryway, over the garage of homeowner, but far enough away for peace and privacy. Queen bed and pull out (queen) couch, with full kitchen, and laundry. Expansive views of Mount Mansfield, Camel's Hump and everything in between. 7 minutes to downtown Stowe (in the summer), 10 minutes to downtown Waterbury. In the heart of the mountains, this cozy apartment is steps away from mountain biking and hiking, and within a short driving distance of several major ski resorts.

Apartment has a private queen bedroom with bathroom.

Kitchen contains everything needed to make your stay more comfortable including pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster. Everything you need to cook a meal in, although there are plenty of great dining options in the area.

Private access to Mount Hunger trailhead from property.

Please note that their are stairs required to access the property.

Outstanding location and hosts. A serene, peaceful mountain location with incredible views and beauty everywhere you look. An easy 20-30 minute drive to Stowe depending on traffic. Abundant snow shoeing, cross country skiing and hiking literally at the end of the street. The apartment was very comfortable and everything you may need was available. Hosts provided us with sleds and snowshoes to use! Very accommodating. We can’t wait to visit again!

We loved our stay. Super comfortable place with large living room, Well stocked kitchen, convenient washer and dryer. Communication with hosts was excellent and they provided helpful recommendations for restaurants, hikes, and other activities. Location is about a 15 minute drive from Stowe through beautiful areas. We loved the serene location and thought this place was a great value.

We loved the peaceful quiet of being out in the country yet reasonably close to town. The space was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Anniversary Getaway

This was the perfect location for our anniversary celebration. We were able to enjoy the area during the day and come back to the apartment in the evening to enjoy the sunsets and quiet mountain setting. Tim checked in with us several times during our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. Great place to stay!

OFF THE BEATEN PATH

Location is off back roads between Stowe and Waterbury, and away from crowds, traffic jams, etc. We found peace, quiet and relaxation only a short drive away from attractions and dining. The apartment facilities were immaculate, clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer!!!

Pretty weekend stay

Tim was very communicative and friendly. He made sure we had all we needed for our stay and turned on the light as we were coming in late. Tim provided excellent restaurants and instruction to the home. It was our first time in the area for a wedding celebration. Highly recommend.

Quiet getaway

I took my husband for a getaway to Stowe mountain as a Christmas gift. Our host Timothy was great with tips on getting to Stowe and what trails he recommended for our first visit. The accommodations were just right. Wifi and dish tv were a bit sporatic but we were aware of that beforehand. Would definitely stay there again if visiting Stowe.

Beautiful location...charming apartment

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the VRBO apartment in Waterbury Center, VT. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The apartment was clean, well equipped and very quiet and comfortable...exactly as advertised. The VRBO owners made a notebook available with restaurant and activities to do, including their own personal favorites which was very helpful. It is located close to Waterbury and Stowe where there are many sights to see and enjoy...such as Ben & Jerry's, Cold Hollow Cider Mill and Smuggler's Notch to name just a few.

We really enjoyed our stay in Waterbury! The apartment is separate from the house, so no worries on either party disturbing the other. Check in and out was super easy, and Tim was always in communication - answered any questions promptly. Stocked appropriately - plenty of towels, linens, soaps, etc. We did not cook there, so I can't comment on kitchen stocking. We had enough space for 2 adults. The sofa bed was a pleasant surprise in comfort. Location is convenient to attractions. Definitely would stay again if in the area!

Cozy Remote Apartment

I traveled with my mother for the peak of leaf peeping season. We enjoyed our 3 night stay which included a rainy day where we comfortably stayed inside and relaxed. Had all the amenities needed and the owner was responsive and friendly to answer any questions. We had some difficulty finding the location due to the map application we used directing us through the local hollow/back roads at night. Close to both towns of Stowe and Waterbury. Great location for a relaxing, slow paced, get away. Note there are 20 stairs from the entry to the apartment above the garage.

My wife Hayley and I have both lived in Vermont well over 30 years in the Stowe area. We know all the ins and outs of town and happy to share our little piece of Vermont with you. Our family is pretty avid skiers, and we spend as much time as possible on the mountain. In my free time I am also a ski instructor at Stowe Mountain resort.

What makes this property unique

At the base of Mount Hunger. Access to state hiking trails out your front door. Unbelievable western mountain views from Camels Hump to Mount Mansfield. Large open yard, with unbelievable sunsets when mother nature decides to put on a show.. Close to both the nightlife of Stowe and Waterbury but also in a pristine mountain environment. Do not be surprised if you see deer, bear, and various other Vermont wildlife.
