The cabin was a great place for our family to relax for a couple days! It was a perfect location with the perfect amount of space for 2 adults and 2 kids.
The booking process was very user-friendly the host was very prompt with his returns on his messages the cabin was very nice and represented accurately. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to others
The house is a lovely, simple getaway in a remote spot. Nicely maintained and comfortable. The area has lots to do and see (or not, if you are there to relax). Very comfortable and functional for my family of four. Peter was very communicative and helpful.
This is such a great property! We had so much fun and plan to come back. The Mad River Valley did not disappoint and our hosts were spot on getting us in and acclimated. Wonderful location, views etc.. the people in that area are some of the best!Thank you both
Overall, this little cabin was perfect as a base camp for exploring the surrounding areas. It’s an inviting space, stocked with the basics, and secluded for relaxation. I do wish the firepit area had a better view of the mountains and had chairs rather than tree stumps. On the deck, a side table would be nice for enjoying morning coffee. But these are minor things and did not at all detract from our stay.
Excellent stay at a very nice secluded cozy cabin. Very clean, fireplace was very warm and inviting. Host gave great local recommendations. Highly recommend
We had a great weekend at the cabin! Even though the weather didn’t cooperate we enjoyed our stay. The proximity to Burlington and surrounding towns was perfect- close enough, but you felt like you were away from it all. We hope to be back with better weather to enjoy the hiking, deck and fire pit. Until next time.
Fantastic location, views, and stay. The cabin is as advertised and the kitchen comes well equipped. The drive to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen was well under 25 minutes. Would certainly return during any season.
Perfect place for my family of four to unplug and relax with easy access to nearby towns. Easy check-in and great communication from the owners. Highly recommended.
Such a cute place to stay close to sugarbush! Highly recommend

This cabin was perfect for my mom, sister, and I to go away for a weekend! It was exactly the space we were hoping for- very clean, a pretty view, and cozy vibes inside! The fireplace was so cozy and there was the perfect amount of room for each of us. Check in and out was easy, and the host was very informative and responsive. A great weekend for sure!

About the host

My name is Pete and I am from Vermont. My wife Sandra is from Sweden. We met guiding camping trips for a company that brought us all over North America. We love travelling and are usually working in Alaska in the summers. Hosting has been a fun way for us to share this beautiful part of Vermont, while staying connected with travelers.
Why they chose this property
This is a cute little cabin built on to an old glacial gravel ridge. Looking down onto Dowsville creek or looking out across the mountains it is just beautiful here! We love that this is a small plot of land towards the end of a dead end road. We can just stroll into a very quite corner of the Camels Hump State Park.
What makes this property unique
A fun fact about this freshly remodeled cabin
-Cabinets were hand built farther up the road by a neighbor -Counter tops are slabs from trees cut on this hillside.
