This was a good property for accommodating our large family group for a weekend together. The rooms are pleasant and spacious with plenty of seating. The kitchen is quite well appointed, though when the aga isn’t on during the summer months the single oven capacity might be an issue. We took two air fryers with us so we could cook a brunch for 12 more easily. Cleanliness was generally good but we did find one or two things in the kitchen which let that down (glasses mainly). It was a shame the hot tub wasn’t in operation - due to the hosepipe ban - it would have been nice to have known that in advance. The gardens are lovely with a nice area outside with tables and benches for eating al fresco. The room with the long dining tables is quite a way from the kitchen, and the conservatory which leads off from the kitchen is too small to seat everyone when the house is fully occupied. This wasn’t really a problem for the kind of catering we’d planned though. The location is very quiet and we enjoyed our stay.
