great host, house is spotless and super comfortable. plenty of space for everyone, comfy relaxing sofas and house is well-equipped. hot tub great size but struggles to get over 37 and a couple of the mattresses may need replacing soon. lovely location for walks and peace and quiet. overall highly recommend!
Great place to stay close to Oxford and other sites!
This was a great place to stay if you want a quiet place in the beautiful countryside - plenty of space to spread out with a family of 6! We loved using the hot tub after long days of sightseeing. It was a great location for hopping into Oxford (10-15 min.) and to drive over to Windsor castle and Stonehenge. The train is about 10 minutes away to make day trips to London! Great place for a group or family! Plus there are a couple pubs with good food just a couple minutes away or lots of restaurants in Oxford.
The property was perfect. Very clean and had everything you needed. Lovely garden area with hot tub and the house was located in a central position to Oxford. Sian was a lovely host. Will defo be returning.

Thank you Michelle we will be happy to have you and your family.
This is a nice holiday home however there were a few things that were annoying such as ,awful saucepans that had the non stick flaking off, and half of them didn't work on the induction hob! Hooks in the bathroom fell off when lifted the towels as it wasn't screwed in properly. The single beds weren't made up so I had to do them and the double bed slats were jumping all over the place , which I fixed to secure. The battery lights weren't working and the fire stick didn't work even when new batteries were put in. Only one shower mat for 2 shower rooms and the older rundown shower room isn't shown in the photos. However, the area is nice and the hot tub is a bonus and the owner responded really quickly to queries. I would stay again if it was cheaper as it is really over priced. lovely walks across the road into the wood were good .

Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting both the positives and areas needing attention.
We’re pleased you enjoyed the location, woodland walks, hot tub, and our responsiveness during your stay. We’re sorry for the maintenance and housekeeping issues you experienced. This is not the standard we aim to provide, and the cookware, bed fittings, bathroom fixtures, and missing items have been reviewed and addressed with our team.
We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, as it helps us improve the experience for future guests.

On arrival the rooms were cold. Host had only just put thermostat on prior to our arrival and the rooms took a few hours to heat, some radiators did not work throughout our stay. Dishwasher had been left for us to unload.Cleaning was not to a good standard resulting in us hoovering some rooms ourselves. TV stopped working due to batteries in control running out at 9pm and on calling the Host we were told that we would have to go out and get batteries ourselves or wait until the morning. also the radiators which were not working could not be dealt with until the next day (we were only there for 3 days)! The Host then went on to say that we had not paid alot of money for the Cottage since it normally rented for alot more! We had paid a substantial amount of money. There was no flexibility with early check in and late check out. In the end we checked out 1 hour late and had to pay the Host payment in cash. The showers are very small and water pressure was very poor also no floor towels provided. We were also told that, if the hot water ran out it was because we were showering for too long. The kitchen/living space and garden/hot tub were the best parts of the accommodation.Unfortunately, due to the issues mentioned above and the Host's attitude and rudeness we would not stay here again or use Vrbo again. For the inconvenience which we were caused we would have hope that the Host would have offered us the late checkout payment back as a gesture of goodwill.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry some aspects of your stay did not meet expectations and appreciate the chance to clarify a few points.
Your reservation was for two nights with standard check-in and check-out times. Requests for early arrival and late departure would have extended occupancy significantly, which wasn’t possible due to cleaning and changeover schedules. The late checkout fee reflected the additional time in the property.
We regret that the property took time to warm up and that two radiators did not function as they should. Had we been able to access the cottage sooner, we would have addressed this during your stay. We also apologise that the dishwasher had not been emptied and that some cleaning fell below our usual standard — this has been raised with our housekeeping team.
Guidance on hot water usage is provided as the system is domestic rather than commercial.
We’re pleased you enjoyed the main living space, garden, and hot tub. While we’re sorry this stay did not meet your expectations, pricing, stay duration, and access times were in line with the booking terms agreed at reservation.
We wish you well in your future travels
I have lived in Oxford most of my life. I love this beautiful city and can help you get to know it and get around. I have been renting out holiday properties for 20 years and being a great traveller myself I have got to know what works as a longer term or even a weekend short let..
Why they chose this property
Oxford is a small city and Bayworth sits on the edge of it with easy access to the city centre and to Blenheim and the Cotswolds.
What makes this property unique
Very private quiet location but easy to reach everything with a short car/tax ride. Lovely private garden, with hot tub and plenty of sociable space.
