This family home is wonderfully spacious with bright rooms that you can make your own. The living room draws you in with its large woodburning stove and cosy seating. On sunny days you can open the doors to the garden to expand this space even more, stepping out for a breath of fresh air. With a traditional kitchen/diner and a games room with table tennis, there is more than enough room here. Upstairs are five bedrooms, two king-size doubles, two twins and a great family room with two double beds. This room has an en-suite bathroom suiting adults with younger children sharing.
The garden at Tackley House has a secluded terrace where you can take your breakfast, or sit out here with a book to relax when you get back from a day out. With a lawned area it is perfect for letting the dogs out. Walking routes lead from the village down to the river, golfers can head to Kirtlington Golf Club to stretch their legs and the Cotswolds are just a stone’s throw away.
Ground Floor
Kitchen/Diner The kitchen at Tackley House is made for so much more than just family meals. Spacious and flooded with light there is a dining table seating 10 at the centre. Wrap-around wooden units and green checkerboard tiling gives a quirky touch to this traditional room. There is an oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer as well as small appliances. Set the table for dinners, play board games or dance the night away, the choice is yours.
Sitting Room Two dramatic blue three-seater sofas and cosy boucle armchairs let you sit by the fire or watch TV while you have a hot drink. The woodburner is a fantastic benefit making this room perfect for an evening in when the weather cools. In the summer, open the French doors to the garden and you can expand this already roomy space into the second dining room.
Cloakroom Set beside the stairs just off the entrance hall, the cloakroom has a WC and basin.
Games Room Shown in the images as a second dining room, this is now a games room with table tennis.
Utility Beyond the kitchen, the utility has a washing machine and tumble dryer and a sink.
Cloakroom Bold tiling is a fun element in the second ground floor cloakroom which has a WC and basin.
First Floor
Bedroom One Looking across the garden to the fields beyond, bedroom one has a king-size bed. This bedroom has colour added with a blue velvet headboard and foliage wallpaper.
Shower Room The shower room has a walk-in shower, WC and basin.
Bedroom Two The second king-size bedroom is similar in style to bedroom one but is set at the front of the house. There is a bedside table and a built-in wardrobe.
Bedroom Four Two single beds sit at each side of this bedroom with a bedside table each. This room would suit children as there is plenty of space and a wardrobe for storage.
Bedroom Five Bedroom five is also a twin bedroom with two single beds sitting opposite the wardrobe. The beds share a bedside table and this room continues the theme of bringing the outdoors in with floral wallpaper.
Bedroom Three The largest bedroom is a family room with two double beds. If you’re staying with friends, this is ideal for two sharing who want a bit more room to spread out.
En-Suite The bathroom has a P-shaped bath with a rainfall shower over, WC and basin.
Outside
Tackley House has a charming terrace with a bistro set for four. Spend time in this secluded spot slowly sipping a glass of wine after the children have gone to bed or start your morning with a coffee as the sun comes around. The lawn gives you space to let the dogs out and there is a quirky Victorian-style lamppost lighting the area.
