Lovely setting for a fall family get together to celebrate a wedding. The grounds and house provided excellent photo opportunities. The private setting was perfect for contemplation and renewal.

5/5 — Beautiful and Peaceful Stay for My Wedding WeekendWe stayed here for my wedding weekend in West Bloomfield, and it was the perfect choice for my bridal party and me. The home was beautiful, spacious, and set on a stunning piece of land with wildlife — we even saw turkeys wandering through the yard! The lake across the street added such a peaceful, scenic touch, especially in the mornings.The driveway was a bit tricky to find the first time, but once we figured it out, it wasn’t an issue. The host’s response time could be a little quicker, but they always got back to us within 24 hours, and everything we needed was well taken care of.Overall, it was an amazing stay — clean, comfortable, and ideal for a group. I’d definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area or celebrating a special occasion!

Excellent Property!

We have a family of 6 that needed to stay at a house for 2 weeks during our own home renovations. The property is fantastic, the rooms and furnishings are amazing. There were a lot of cameras around the house and one within the garage, but I highly recommend this property for family functions and family get aways! If needed, we will truly be back!

This lovely home provided a beautiful setting for our family's first reunion. The host was responsive and we enjoyed the beach access and hiking opportunities, as well as proximity to entertainment. (The beds in the great room are air mattresses.)

As kids called it "It was a mansion"

My friends and I, along with their kids had a wonderful time at this property. It was truly a mansion, and had everything we needed. It was super easy and quick to communicate with Ron. Highly recommend this place for anyone with a big group.

Lots of Space to Spread Out

This home provided open and large spaces for everyone to spread out and visit or go off and do their own thing. The kitchen is large and roomy for several people. The owners were easy to deal with. We were there for a funeral and it was nice for everyone to have a place together to talk about our memories. They do need to look into the hot water situation for all the bathrooms as some only had lukewarm water so once that is addressed the place is A #1.

This stately home is verging on perfection when it comes to sharing special moments in time with family and friends. The location is second to none. The owner only wants to provide complete luxury and comfort to the guest. It easily accommodates a party of 10. With owner approval one could have a lovely outdoor day event for twenty. Long weekend with family

This was a beautiful home with lots of wildlife to watch. Owner was very generous with the starter breakfast, paper products, coffee, tea, milk and juice. Kitchen could have used frying pans. A list of where to find extra sheets, blankets, and pillows would have been helpful. There were no instructions of what to do with our sheets and towels when checking out.

Wonderful for our wedding weekend!

This house was beautiful and perfectly fitting for our wedding weekend. It’s big and clean and has a lovely view of the lake. We were able to host my bridal party and some family there for the weekend and congregate in various spaces without feeling cramped. Ron was accessible and communicative which I appreciated. Only small things I would change are having the outdoor patio seats and tables brushed off before our stay, having more face towels on site (there were dry towels but Ron dropped off face towels upon request), and maybe more decor in the bedrooms. But overall this was great and exactly what we needed for this momentous occasion in our life!

Thanksgiving with Family

Overall the property is very nice and roomy, which made our stay enjoyable. If you like to cook the kitchen is large and well appointed but they do need 1-2 sauce pans. The two issues that we had is that the plumbing in the master shower never allowed it to get above warm and when a second floor shower was turned on it became ice cold. Secondly, when the weather is below freezing the owners need to make sure the icy drive is salted before renters arrive. My wife slipped and fell on a thin patch of ice right after we pulled up and got out of the car. She was not hurt but it could have been avoided. The owners seem very responsive so I'm sure they will look for this going forward. If you are looking for a large, open, clean space, in a quiet environment, you will enjoy staying at this home.

We enjoyed the size of the house for us to spread out in. For the most part was clean. The downstairs/ basement shower had a hair ball in the shower. Not long after we pulled in, we got a knock on the door. Your daughter in law came to get the rest of her laundry from the washer and dryer. The master shower has some issues. First, we had to buy a mat because it is so slippery. Next, the temperature dial did not work. Third, the hand spray needs fixing. There are leaks from it and it will not stay on the holder. For what we paid, I would have thought all these details would be thought through. It would be helpful if the light switches were labeled. There are NO lamps-just can lights to use in every room. The TV situation is horrible! It was an impossible task just to watch the news or weather. Other minor issues made it hard to relax. The deck was nice. If I return to the area, I will make different plans.

Oh my gosh! This rental was one of the highlights of our wedding weekend. We were able to comfortably house many of our friends with us, and that made the entire weekend so very special for us. Weddings are a blur, so it’s those little in between moments that really count. This stay allowed us to connect even better with our tribe, and was 100% worth the investment! Space to spread out

This is a beautiful property with lots of space to spread out. We stayed in the winter, but it would be fun to be there in the summer. We often saw deer outside. I'm sure the lake would be beautiful. The owner was very helpful.

Amazing house

Our family spent the Christmas holidays here. The owners graciously left out their Christmas decorations. Never decorated a 12’ Christmas tree before but it looked amazing. Looking at the tree past the snow covered lawn and out at the lake, it looked like a Christmas wonderland. We saw deer five feet away from the windows (they looked annoyed at us for watching them), turkeys, ducks, swans and and an otter. The little area near the kitchen was a cozy place to sit by the fire amd play games. Don’t worry about the other reviews that mentions the hot water in the main bedroom bathroom. It has plenty of hot water - once you figure out all the little buttons and knobs. But don’t bother taking a shower there! The shower near the laundry room is the BEST! This house has the privacy of a big country estate but grocery stores and restaurants are all located nearby.

Perfect Stay

We stayed here with my family of five (kids 3,5,8) and my in-laws. The house looked amazing in the photos. Somehow it's even nicer in person. It has everything you could ever want. It felt like it was our own home for the week. My kids didn't want to leave. The regular visits from deer were incredible. On our last morning we saw 2 bucks playing in the yard. Ron is a great host. We hope to be back and stay again one day. Thank you.
