Lovely apartment a few steps from Parco del Valentino, in the lively San Salvario area.



The apartment, located on the second floor of a beautiful historic building with Liberty style, opens onto a living area with a double sofa bed, a coffee table, a closet, a dining table, a bench and a fully-equipped kitchen with an oven, a dishwasher and a kettle. Directly connected to the living room, the sleeping area consists of a room furnished with a bean bag and a walk-in closet, and with a wooden staircase leading to a loft where guests will find a queen-size futon bed. Both the living room and the bedroom have access to a balcony overlooking a nice inner courtyard. A bathroom with shower completes the layout.

The wonderful city of Turin, capital of Piedmont and known for its chocolate, offers countless opportunities and experiences. The city is known for its refined architecture, in fact there are sumptuous Baroque buildings to admire overlooking Turin’s squares, like Piazza Castello and Piazza San Carlo. In the old town stands the Mole Antonelliana, one of the symbols of Italy, with the Royal Palace of Turin and Madama Palace. Turin offers attractions for every taste, from outdoor activities to gastronomy. For a walk in the greenery breathing the scent of flowers, guests can enjoy the Turin Botanical Garden located on the left side of the Po river, and the famous Valentino Park near the old town. Today the province is considered the best Italian center as regards chocolate processing, and every year the “Cioccolatò” event is inaugurated with parties, events and tastings. For a tasting of typical Piemontese dishes, do not miss Solferino and Consorzio restaurants.

Nice flat in a great location

We've returned to San Salvario many times for the restaurants and great public transport. This flat was up two very long flights of stairs which made luffi g our bags

The apartment was great! Communication with the host was not. An attractive, functional flat in a gorgeous Liberty (Art Nouveau) style building, steps from the amazing Parco del Valentino. Comfortable and quiet. Large windows look onto a peaceful, leafy interior courtyard and semi-private balcony. Spacious kitchen & living room. Quirky decorations show owner's personality. On a quiet block. Great food, bars, markets and other San Salvario attractions steps away. Now the negatives. Biggest problem: poor host communication. Inconsistent, broken-telephone communication over multiple channels (WhatsApp & Vrbo), frequent unhelpful automated messages, slow to resolve urgent inquiries. When I couldn't find sofabed bedding and asked for it 1 day before it was needed, they took 2 days of unhelpful back-and-forth messages to tell me where it was and I had to sleep 1 night on the unmade sofabed. My stay was extended. Despite promising not to send cleaners on original checkout day, cleaners turned up anyway, twice. Minor irritations: Complicated multi-stage check-in process that could not be completed in one session and sent entry instructions less than 24 hours before my departure. The loft sleeping area is hot without AC. No dishwasher detergent, kitchen dishtowel, scissors or sharp knives. Only enough hot water for 1 quick shower, then 30 minutes to reheat. No TV but who needs it these days. Still a great apartment, I recommend it but host communication needs improvement.
