Great location for getting around the Cotswolds.A little misleading saying there are three bedrooms when one of the bedrooms is in a mini camper outside the house.Lovely quiet neighborhood
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. Almost perfect! Would have liked a lock on the upstairs bathroom door, but other than that it was fabulous!
A lovely property in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds. Very well appointed and a fabulous garden.Everything you need for a peaceful stay. Highly recommended.
Janey’s home is exceptional. She was very quick to respond to questions and made every effort to address our needs. We loved having modern amenities with all the charm of this converted barn in a small village. The property includes a small apple orchard, lovely garden and patio with table and chairs. My 19 year old son loved the privacy he got in the shepherd’s hut located next to the main house-(double bed with a sink/ toilet separated from the bedroom area by a curtain). The location was an ideal for exploring the Cotswolds. The New Inn in neighboring Coln St. Aldwyns was an outstanding find for delicious, creative food and friendly staff. We spent 5 days and easily could have spent more time.
The cottage is warm and comfortable and its proximity to Bourton a definite plus. The only reason I put good instead of excellent is because the beds are not king sized as listed (as far as an American king - perhaps UK sizing is different) and although a dryer is listed as an amenity, there is only a washer w/ drying line
We travelled as a family group of 5 adults. Such a beautiful place to stay and a good base for exploring the area. The Barn had everything we needed and was clean and warm with comfortable beds! Thank you a wonderful break and we would highly recommend.
Escaped the crazy, and embraced peace. The Barn is a perfect place to unwind. Clean, spacious, with a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Located in a quiet cul de sac in a small hamlet miles from the noise; and yet within a short drive to good pubs and country shops. This is an our second Christmas at The Barn. It’s a gem.
A short, two night, break at The Barn was very homely and relaxing. The weather didn’t behave but that didn’t dampen a lovely and welcoming stay.
The host was first class with communication which is always a bonus. Highly recommend this property.
Brilliant stay in a beautifully kept converted barn. It could do with a bit of a deep clean but overall a great stay in a great location to explore some beautiful places. Thank you!
POSITIVES*Superb outlying location with easy access to main roads*Great atmosphere inside, tastefully decorated, love the wood beams everywhere with the white walls, feels light and airy *Good square footage with feeling of space to work/relax*Beautiful garden to enjoy *Good communication with owner and process to book*2.5 baths, up to date, workable, stocked kitchen, good size bedrooms that are comfortable*So quiet in area, sleep with windows open and lots of fresh air *excellent working wash machine with quick load capability*car can be parked with gate closed *alarm system SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS*amenities list a 'dryer' with symbol, however, not there, instead an electric drying rack, that cannot stand on its own. Must be tied to the chairs and manipulated to stay upright. *refridgerator desperately needs defrosting. The lower level is full of ice, starting to show in main part also. Decreases full function of fridge temperature. A frost free would be a better investment for a rental. *king beds are listed for 2 bedrooms. They are queen, at least for US specs. Overall this beautiful, 17th century modernized old barn conversion makes you feel you are truly living in the Cotswold. Wonderful views from upstairs and easy walks right out the door to the countryside. Everything is right at your fingertips with car. HIGHLY RECOMMEND A SECOND STAY if back in the Cotswold.
We were so pleased to settle in this gorgeous home for our four day stay.
Everything we needed was provided. The beds were the most comfortable we had slept in during our five week UK trip.
The house was impeccably clean and spacious.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a stay in the Cotswold.
Very nice, comfortable and well situated cottage. Spacious and well equipped kitchen. Definitely would recommend this and looking forward to coming back.
A girlfriend and I wanted a few days R and R. This stunning property and location fitted the bill. The beds were so comfortable!
Felt cocooned for a few days. Just what we needed.
Would recommend the property to anyone wanted to get away from it all.
Only downside was the check in process as it was dark by 4pm. We struggled to find the property despite good directions and then found we could not see very well to open the key box.
Well appointed, spacious and cozy. In a very quiet little area but close to many amenities and attractions in the Cotswolds. My 14 year old said it best at dinner one night when he said, “Dad I’m really glad we got this place”
This place is absolutely wonderful, beautifully decorated in a fab location, it’s so clean and well equipped… we loved it and the photos do not do it justice!!! Mork the dog took almost permanent place on the dog bed, we will be back
