About John & Jo Ireland
John and Jo bought Aylworth in 2002 as an ideal home to raise their family. Johnny is a dentist and works in Cheltenham, Jo worked in the city before 'retiring' to the country. They spend their time running the farm and looking after their guests and animals. As well as the Self Catering cottage Jo runs a bed and breakfast business from the Manor, spends quite some time in the garden and an inordinate amount of time with the horses and her dogs. Their two children are now in their twenties but enjoy spending time at Aylworth often with friends.

Why John & Jo Ireland chose Naunton
There has been a house at Aylworth since Medieval times, infact there is a mention of it in the Domesday Book. The house is surrounded by its farmland and a small hamlet of converted farm buildings. The house and Granary were remodelled in the Georgian era and was renovated by Johnny and Jo when they bought it.
What makes this Cottage unique
There are stunning views over the Cotswolds hills and valleys, excellent walking, the property is situated on the Windrush Way footpath. Uniquely both Johnny and Jo are committed to renewable energy and conservation and the house and Granary are powered by PV panels and a biomass boiler.

Lovely property with everything you could ever need for a short break away. The setting in the grounds of the old manor is amazing. We walked to the local pub in Naunton across the fields, using the footpath/bridal way, just over a mile and made you feel you’d walked your dinner off. Went to Bourton on the water and Lower Slaughter which may just have been more beautiful than Bourton. A very busy bank holiday weekend, but even so there seemed to be good parking options. Would highly recommend this property.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much. Hopefully we will be able to welcome you back to Aylworth before too long? Kind regards Jo
Lovely property with a very welcoming owner
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property which is set within the grounds of an old Manor. Great access to local walking and close to the main attractions of the area. We were met by Jo who told us about the house and nearby area and were fortunate to have arrived when some lambs had just been born, which our children enjoyed seeing. The property was as nice as it looks in the photos and were were very happy with our stay

Cannot recommend this properly more highly...
The perfect property for my family of four, really enhancing our weekend away. The Granary is stunning inside and out, surrounded by beautiful gardens that really took my breath away. Fabulous to sit in the sun and absorb the view while the kids played on the tennis court. The property itself has everything you could really need and such a welcoming feel, whilst being light and airy at the same time. It's so well situated, with many a Cotswold activity to be enjoyed (Snowshill Manor and Cotswolds Farm Park particular highlights). I would definitely come back and am already planning future outings...
Thank you for your review and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much. We are so pleased that you appreciated all the hard work that we put into the garden, it brings us such joy as well.hopefully we will be able to welcome you back to Aylworth very soon? Kind regards Jo
Great place to stay!
Lovely peaceful place to stay out in the country yet not too far to drive to places. Owners very welcoming. Children loved all the animals especially being able to hold a newborn lamb!
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and that the children enjoyed all the animals as well. Hopefully we will be able to welcome you back to Aylworth and that you might even see a little more sunshine next time?
