Spontane Tiefenentspannung
Aufstehen. Abends waren u.a. fünf Futterknödel weggeputzt.

Peace, quiet and relaxation in abundance!
The lodge has a perfect and well-equipped kitchen. The bathroom also is excellent. The bedroom has a double bed with a double wardrobe and plenty of hanging space. Two seater settee has ample room for two people. The TV has many channels, and there is a small table and chairs for two. I highly recommend Burnbank Lodges.

A rural idyll in spectacular scenery
I booked my holiday at short notice. Hosts Nina & Campbell were quick to accept my booking and helpfully answered my queries about facilities by return. They also provided me detailed information about how best to get there, as I was driving the almost 2 hours from Inverness airport. Although it was dark on my arrival the check-in was seamlessly effected. I was in one of the Lodges overlooking the river Spean with its fast running waters a wonderful comfort. My accommodation was deliciously warm on arrival. The lodge is beautifully appointed in every room, with well-stocked kitchen utensils & crockery. Best of all there are full wall-length glass sliding doors & a balcony overlooking the Spean in the kitchen/lounge. The Lodges stand in beautiful woodland. I stayed in early November during a full moon, which was an added bonus. I chose this area for its close proximity to Ben Nevis about 8 miles away, up which I trekked for most of my time there. Nina and Campbell are lovely hosts and made me feel most welcome. They also gave me tips for other attractions, shops and eateries. I sought peace and tranquility for my 4 day break and got it in spades. I will return at the first opportunity. I cannot recommend Burnbank Lodges enough.

About the host

Hosted by Nina and Campbell

Host profile image
Hello, we are Campbell and Nina, the proud owners of Burnbank Lodges.

We have been welcoming guests to Burnbank Lodges since January 2019 when we took the brave step to quit our jobs in London and move our family to Spean Bridge in the Scottish Highlands to follow our dream to live more rurally. For Campbell, it was a homecoming as he grew up in the area, although had been away for almost 18 years.

Why they chose this property

We just love the setting here as it offers the best of both worlds. Nestled among the trees, surrounded by nature and with the sound of the rivers flowing it feels like we are miles away from anywhere. However the villege convenience store, cafes and restaurants are just 10 - 15 minutes walk away.

What makes this property unique

For us living alongside the wonderful birdlife, wildlife and woodland just lowers our shoulders and relaxes us. The birdsong is our natural alarmclock and the when the bats start darting about, we know the evening has arrived.
