Tinners Gate, a barn conversion within the wonderfully named Cornish village of Crow’s Nest, near Liskeard is an ideal holiday retreat for guests either wishing to enjoy a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle; or setting off on an exploring adventure within a fantastic area.
From Golitha Falls, with its spectacular waterfalls, craggy gorges beautiful scenery, to Bodmin Moor, renowned for its ancient stone structures and wondrous peaks, you are spoilt for choice on where to visit. The Minions, part of the moorland has the highest public house in Cornwall. Whilst mythical stone circles await your discovery, alongside The Hurlers, dating back to 1500 BC. Throughout this magnificent landscape you will uncover the haunting remains of old stone engine houses, standing stark against the skyline, a constant reminder of a long past industry, long since gone. This area is truly both unique and beautiful, with a new adventure just waiting you every day!
Your holiday retreat, set next to the friendly owners’ residence incorporates an open plan kitchen diner, with all you need to prepare light meal or hearty feast, whilst the inviting living room, has wood burner effect fire within a stone feature fireplace and sofa you can sink into and...just breathe!
Venturing upstairs reveals an enchanting double bedroom, with fitted wardrobes and quality linens. The bathroom has a stylish shower with contrasting tiling. The garden has been carefully nurtured over time and has a Mediterranean influence with impressive stone features and small stream running through, reminiscent of the mining heritage once here. The owners would be delighted for you to enjoy this marvellous space, with many shades, colours, and shapes. The local public house offers an excellent menu along with many different beverages and is a short walk away, whilst the town of Liskeard has an array of shops, pubs and cafes and impressive architecture. Beach 12½ miles. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.
