Neidpath Castle has been passed down through the centuries since the 1100s, when it was first built by the Frasers. Most recently, it was inherited by the Wemyss family in 1810 and is still owned by a branch of that family today.

The Barmkin provides light filled, peaceful accommodation, with comfortable beds, including a luxurious four poster, and a cosy open log fire. Nearby Peebles, has a host of delightful shops and museums as well as a theatre/cinema. Day trips to Edinburgh, by bus, are one of the best ways to enjoy the capital whilst staying in rural peace.
