About this property
Cosy cottage for 2 in central Arundel
Situated in a secluded courtyard in the heart of historic Arundel Laura Lye Holiday Lets are offering this beautiful little cottage which is ideal for exploring the town and the surrounding area.
Gable End is located just off Surrey St at the end of Tarrant St. and is a wonderful addition to the Laura Lye Holiday let portfolio of Arundel Cottages. The front door opens into an entrance lobby with the bedroom (with king size bed) and shower room leading off it. Up the stairs is a bright and well designed open plan kitchen/living room with vaulted ceiling. The kitchen area has an under counter fridge, oven, hob and microwave and there is a table and chairs, sofa and TV in the living area.
Please note that there is no dishwasher or washing machine at the cottage and the mezzanine is for storage, not for guest use.
There is a seating area just outside the cottage with a variety of pots and a bistro table and chairs to enjoy the afternoon sunshine!
Although the cottage does not have private parking all of the streets around have unrestricted parking. Or, come by train and enjoy a car-free break - all that Arundel has to offer is on the doorstep.
We welcome small well behaved dogs limited to 1 per booking, for an additional charge of £27.50 for 3-7 days and £27.50 for each subsequent week. They are not allowed on the furniture and they must not be left alone at the cottage.
There is so much to see and do - sample the real ales on offer at The Kings Arms - dating back to 1625 and reputedly the oldest pub in Arundel; buy freshly baked artisan bread from Juniper and enjoy fantastic coffee from the Tarrant Street Espresso - all within 2 minutes’ walk. Arundel Castle and gardens (open spring to late Autumn); the magnificent Cathedral; Arundel Lido (a heated outdoor pool open in the Summer months); a wide range of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs; the museum and the Wetlands Centre are just a stroll away.
There are incredible walks right from the door following the bank of the river or up into Arundel Park and further into the South Downs. The seaside is just a short drive away (West Beach and Climping being the closest) and the famous sandy beaches of West Wittering are also within easy striking distance. There are many National Trust houses and other places of cultural interest nearby, making Arundel the perfect base for a holiday in the UK.
