It is evident as soon as you enter Hillside House that it is filled with character and charm. There is room to hang coats and kick off your shoes in the generous hallway. A cosy living room with a bay window, fireplace, comfy seating for eight and a TV with Freesat box is located at the front of the property, an ideal spot to wind down after a day of exploring. The dining room to the rear of the property features antique furniture including a grandfather clock and sideboard, a dining table for eight and an antique fireplace. This makes the room the ideal setting for family gatherings. From here there is direct access to the Lakeland kitchen, which is a mixture of country style and modern conveniences.
The first flight of stairs leads to a spacious bathroom with a full-size bath and an electric shower, and there is also an additional shower room. To the rear of the property is a good-size double bedroom, which features an original fireplace. To the front of the property is a second large double bedroom which features a couple of reading chairs. Lots of natural light is brought in by the large sash windows. Two more flights of stairs lead to two further bedrooms, the first of which is a spacious double overlooking St. Mary’s Church and the fells beyond. Another bedroom is located at the front of the property with feature wall panelling.
