The perfect retreat for families and groups.
Set on the top two floors of a traditional sandstone apartment block, Ashton View hosts a striking social space and 5 bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room. With Glasgow University, Ashton Lane and the Subway on your doorstep, this 160 year old fully modernised flat on Byres Road includes:
- Two flights of spiral stairs lead to the apartment itself - Victorian features - Log burner - Dining Room - 4-person spa bath - Smart controls and Sonos - Luxurious bedding - 5 King beds (3 can be changed to twins) and up to 6 Kids beds Your group will have the sole use of Ashton View for your stay.

Ashton View is in the absolute heart of Glasgow's bustling West End. Step straight out to Byres Road for local shops, bars, eateries, cinema, supermarkets and amenities all within seconds of the front door.
The picturesque Ashton Lane is famous for quality restaurants, beer gardens and late night karaoke and is less than 1 minute walk from Ashton View. Glasgow University and Scotland's oldest museum, The Hunterian, are just 5 minutes walk away and boast some of the country's finest architecture. Glasgow's famous Underground is less than 1 minute walk from the apartment. This allows you quick access to the city centre.
Lots of amenities are available within walking distance, however if you decide to venture in to the city the Underground gets you in to the city centre in 10 minutes.
If travelling from Glasgow Central train station, you can take the Underground from Hillhead straight to Buchanan Street or St Enoch and walk to Central Station. If travelling from Queen Street train station Buchanan Street Underground takes you there from Hillhead.
A taxi stance is right outside the front door should you wish to take a taxi. Buses operate frequently from both Byres Road and nearby Great Western Road.
On street paid parking is available - this is free before 8am, after 6pm and all weekend.
Please note the sleeping arrangements at Ashton View: we have 2 bedrooms on the lower floor - bedroom 1 has a Super King size bed and bedroom 2 has a King size bed. The upper floor has 3 bedrooms all with King size beds - these can each be altered to 2 single beds. If you prefer rooms set up as twin rooms instead of having King size beds we can arrange this for you - just ask. Additionally we have 6 Hideaway beds suitable for children only. These can be placed in any of the bedrooms to your preference - we have included a photo of a bedroom with a King size bed and 2 Hideaway beds to show how these beds look. Finally we have a Travel Cot and a High Chair available upon request without charge.

This property was exceptional. Lovely central location, plenty of room, gorgeous renovations and all the amenities you could wish for. This was a treat and would highly recommend!
We couldn’t have asked for a better location or a more comfortable accommodation. The flat was lovely and had everything that we needed for our family to come in and celebrate our daughter’s graduation. Any shot hat we could have wanted was within walking distance and the subway was so closer that shuffling 12 people around was a breeze.
We had the most amazing trip at this property. Every single room is designed with so much detail and thought. We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel from the stocked mini fridge, jacuzzi bath and luxury furnishings. The hosts were so lovely and accommodating and we would recommend this property to everyone!
WOW!!! Where do we begin?!?! This residence has it ALL and more. Excellent communication. Comfortable. Accessible to subway, shopping, grocery store, and a vast selection of incredible restaurants. You won’t find a better residence than this in all of Scotland.
Booked this amazing apartment for all our family to be together for our daughters wedding. Location is spot on for everything and James couldn’t do enough to make everything perfect for us. Can’t recommend it enough.
This place is incredible! Finished to the highest standards, clean, warm, and well appointed. Fit our large group really well, kitchen and living room made a great shared space. The coffee maker alone made it worth the stay!
I would turn off the heat upstairs (it gets warm up there!), and keep your elderly on the main floor as the stairs to the upper rooms are very unforgiving.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Clean. Spotless!
Completely outfitted kitchen. The Miele coffee maker has spoiled me.
Beautifully appointed throughout the entire 5 bedrooms and baths.
Easy access to food shopping, Botanic Gardens and various pubs.
Our stay was enhanced with the ease of this property.
Hands down the best property I have ever stayed in!! It was a true gem in a fabulous neighborhood dotted with so many coffe shops and restaurants. James, the host, met us at the house and gave us a tour of the lovely home. Every room was designed very tastefully, and the kitchen was simply stunning. The living room was massive where all 10 of us could hang out. It has many large windows that lets cool breeze in and has nice city views.The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and condiments. The host was very courteous and responsive. He also included snacks and drinks that were complimentary. I would give it 11/10, if I could. We had a wonderful time staying at this house, I would highly recommend it to everyone.
The property is located in a bustling West End neighborhood. Taxis and subway very close. The apartment is ugraded with current technology and beautifully appointed. Owners were very accessible and easy to deal with any concerns. If you don't mind a 2-story walk up, then this is the place for you.
Extremely well equipped with so many little touches to enhance our stay. Our young adult children called it a palace :) We agree with everyone else’s comments about the coffee machine! It did not disappoint. Everything was so clean, comfortable and beautiful. Communication with James was wonderful too. Completely recommend. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We could not have been happier with our stay at Ashton View. We were welcomed by James and given the full tour and story of the renovation of this beautiful property. The amenities were amazing. The owners provided wine, beer, coffee and treats! We had so much fun making coffee in the wonderful coffee machine. The property is literally around the corner from Ashton Lane! The proximity to what we were interested in could not have been better, though we wanted to just stay in the property and enjoy the amenities. Each bedroom had its own personal bath and everything was top quality. We would definitely recommend the property. James and Laurie were communicative throughout our stay and checked in on us each day. Highly recommend!
As a family we were seeking to commemorate a 25th anniversary in Glasgow, 4 girls, 4 parents and 3 grandparents, requiring at least 5 hotel rooms for a couple of weekend nights. Although Glasgow is not short of this accommodation, Ashton View flagged up as a singular, all encompassing opportunity, which would maximise social interaction in a single private space.
None of us required the opulent elegance displayed, the 3m TV, the talking fridge, hot tub with drinks holder, or even the Japanese toilet, but we could cope!
The table seating 12 was a bonus, the en-suites were lavishly tiled, the bedrooms silent, and the coffee machine programmed to perfection plus.
Ashton View is just amazing. Find an excuse!
