Town: The spectacular scenery of the north west Lake District is some of the most stunning and beautiful in the British Isles and sat right in the very heart of it is the small hamlet of Loweswater. Loweswater is nestled between the beautiful North Western Fells, offering relative peace compared with the busier areas of the Lake District. Loweswater lake is a 1 mile long, peaceful lake that is overlooked by many tourists, Crummock Water and Buttermere are also within easy reach. Enjoy gentle lakeside or woodland strolls or more challenging walks up Melbreak, Whiteside or the mighty Grasmoor. Loweswater is also home to a 400 year old inn which is still serving customers today.
