Our luxuriously-appointed self-catering cottages are ideal for large groups, sleeping up to 16 people across four cottages. These 17th century former barns and stables, renovated by the Betts family farm, provide everything you need for a luxurious stay in glorious Berkshire countryside.

All cottages have dishwashers, washing machines, fully equipped kitchens and free high speed wifi.
Cots and highchairs can be provided.

There is free parking outside the properties. Pets allowed for an extra charge.

We offer a specially adapted accessible studio cottage, generously equipped and graded to M3i standard. The kitchen can be adapted for a wheelchair user if necessary.

The village community shop cafe; café next to the Cottages offers fresh food and provisions to cater for all your needs.

We felt very lucky to have found such a perfect place for all the family to stay.

The design is perfect for large grouos, with luxurious bedrooms, well provided for kitchens round a beautiful coutryard, with a garden connecting everyone, with privacy, but with the fantastic community shop next door. Jessica was a lovely host .

A wonderful time!!

I was with a party of seven and everyone was very complimentary about the set-up and comfort, with which I agree. Being in a wheelchair, I really appreciated the accessibility of The Stable and downstairs at Orchard Cottage. The one issue was that I could not get into the shop without crossing the gravel which was hard work on the wheels - extra concrete from the foot of the Orchard Cottage ramp to the shop door would solve that.

Comfortable accommodation in lovely surroundings

We combined a work trip with catching up with a relative and The Stables was great for the 3 nights (2 nights for our daughter)If we have the chance to stay again I think that I would ideally choose one of the larger units. We made good use of the handy laundry room and communal garden area. We had never been to this area of the UK before but work gave us the opportunity to explore it and I thought it was very friendly and picturesque.Would like to return.

The family have owned the farm in the centre of the village for several generations and it continues today to be a working arable and beef cattle farm. We are live next door to the self-catering cottages so are on hand to answer any questions and to meet our guests. There is lots to do close by for walkers, families, groups, couples and singles. We can cater for everyone including single people on business in the area or looking for a short-term house in between houses or if you need to move out for building work. Orchard cottage is popular with large groups as you can all eat together but sleep in different cottages next door, suitable for birthdays, baptisms, wedding parties, stag & hen parties, family reunions etc. The Living Rainforest is a great place to visit in the village with a sloth, monkeys, butterflies to see. We are a popular base to visit Oxford, London, Windsor, Legoland, Goring and the Ridgeway for walking. The heating for the self-catering cottages has is run on a wood-pellet boiler so very environmentally friendly.
