Friendly and peaceful place

The accommodation was very clean, the garden loveley, and the pool is clean and in a very green surrounding. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. It is a good place to stay and start trips in the beautiful Toskana!

Lovely stay in great location

We had a fantastic stay here, the pool was great and was never crowded. With COVID you got dedicated loungers which was a good idea. The area is lovely with a bakery just around the corner a a few really nice restaurants within a 20 min walk (or couple of mins drive). There’s plenty to see and do further too (we did a day trip to Florence easily from here). The accommodation was also very nice and stayed cool in the hot weather. Cons - only a couple of little ones, the pillows were not very comfortable and we sometimes got woken up early in the morning by the sprinklers, but these would not put me off coming again as everything else was perfect.

Super locatie

We hadden een heel leuke vakantie! Ideaal huisje voor 2 personen op een prachtige locatie. Heel vriendelijke eigenaars die veel tips geven over mogelijke uitstappen. Zwembad en huisje waren enorm proper. Een aanrader!

Wir hatten von Anfang bis Ende einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Das Poesie Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und absolut sauber. Es fehlt an gar nichts. Der Pool ist herrlich angelegt und auch hier nichts zu beanstanden. Absolut sauber!! Die Gastgeber/in ist sehr freundlich, höflich und hilfsbereit. Wir hätten uns jederzeit melden können. Beau séjour dans la montagne toscane

Les prestations sont très bien : équipements, propreté, literie, etc. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour avec ma femme et ma fille. De plus, Paola nous a très bien reçu et conseillé. Chose à savoir quant à la localisation : les gros points touristiques tels que Pise ou Florence sont un peu éloignés car il faut déjà une bonne demi heure pour descendre de la montagne et arriver à Lucca.

Tolle ruhige sehr gepflegte Anlage

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.Paola war immer einer wunderbare Gastgeberin zuvorkommend und konnte uns super Tipps für Restaurants und Ausflugsziele (See) geben.Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Der Pool ist zwischen 9-19 Uhr geöffnet und groß genug zum schwimmen . Man benötigt aber unbedingt ein Auto und viel Zeit um die wunderbaren Sehenswürdigkeiten (Pisa/Lucca/Florenz)zu entdecken.

Wunderschöne Apartments mit tollem Garten

Wir haben sehr gerne hier gewohnt. Die Apartments sind sauber, sehr hübsch und liebevoll eingerichtet und haben alles, was man so braucht. Man hat, obwohl es (wenige) andere Gäste gibt, absolute Privatsphäre. Jedes Apartment hat einen eigenen Sitzplatz im Freien. Die Apartments unterscheiden sich etwas, jedes steht unter einem Motto. Unseres war das „Poesia“. Der Garten ist traumhaft schön und grün, voller Obstbäume und enthält einen Pool, der so toll gepflegt ist, wie ich es noch selten erlebt habe. Jeder hat eine Liege für sich, wobei wir am Pool oft ganz alleine waren. 😃 Die Umgebung des Grundstücks hat uns erst nicht so begeistert, da etwas industriell geprägt, aber man bekommt im Garten nichts davon mit. Immerhin befindet sich ein paar Hundert Meter weiter eine nette, ganz untouristische Bar (Bar Flamingo), in der sich abends halb Gallicano trifft und wo man günstig essen und seinen Aperol genießen kann. Auch im alten Ortskern gibt es ein paar schöne Lokale, uns hat das Eliseo gut gefallen. Unbedingt braucht man ein Auto, denn Gallicano gibt, abgesehen von einigen hübschen mittelalterlichen Kirchen, nicht so viel her, eignet sich aber hervorragend für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Die tägliche Versorgung ist mit dem großen Supermarkt am Ortsende gesichert. Die Lage eignet sich für Touren nach Florenz, Lucca und Pisa sowie ans Meer und in die Berge. Auch die umliegenden Orte, wie Barga, Castelnuovo, Borgo di Monzano mit der tollen Teufelsbrücke, sind einen Abstecher wert und die Landschaft ist wunderschön. Wir hatten einen vielseitigen Urlaub, haben Städte und Dörfer besichtigt, waren wandern und am Meer und haben zwischendurch am Pool gechillt. Bleibt noch hervorzuheben, dass die Gastgeber Paola und ihr Vater ausgesprochen lieb und geduldig sind und viele Tipps und Ideen für Ausflüge bereithalten. Sie helfen geduldig bei der Planung und sind immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Schöne Anlage

Schöne, gepflegte Anlage mit schönem Pool. Ideal für Familie mit Kindern. Aktivitäten in der Umgebung sind zahlreich, allerdings quasi ausschließlich per Auto zu erreichen. Relativ gebirgige Region. Wir haben die 10 Tage dort sehr genossen.

Superb place for couples and small families

Paola and her dad are fabulous hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and the quality of information and communication is outstanding. The accommodation is spacious, well appointed and has everything you could possibly want - it was spotless. We loved that we had our own little garden area and terrace and that the pool was just a few steps away and, again, beautifully maintained and looked after. It's clear that the hosts take a lot of pride in the work that they do to make your stay the best it can be. We were given great recommendations pf places to eat, visit and other support for taxi's Covid tests and so on. We'll definitely be returning again! Thanks Poala and Calos!

Domizil mit Liebe zum Detail

Wir waren In der zweiten Julihäfte 2019 mit einem vierjährigen Jungen in Gallicano. Das Anwesen ist super gepflegt, neu und sehr sauber. In der Küche konnte man dank vier Platten und ausreichend Kochgeschirr richtig kochen. Positiv ist, dass durch Klimaanlage, die wir durch die gute Dämmung selbst bei 38 Grad nicht brauchten. Fliegengitter und Fensterläden es Insektenarm, dunkel und kühl im Haus sein konnte. Der Pool ist ein Traum - auch hier neu und sauber. Die Betten bequem und für mich als Allergiker ohne irgendwelche Allergieauslöser. Für Toskana-Verhältnisse durch die Höhe relativ arm an Mücken, wenngleich auch dort drei Stiche pro Tag dazugehören. Gallicano als Ort ist nicht der schönste und es felht eine Innenstadt oder Flaniermeile. Hierfür fährt man besser 7km ins benachbarte Barga. Dennoch entdeckt man auch in Callicano eine tolle Eisdiele und leckere Pizzarien (Pizza zw. 6 und 8 Euro, großes Bier 3,50 Euro) für den abendlichen Bummel sowie den großen Conad-Supermarkt, bei dem man auf deutschem Preisniveau alles bekommt. Callicano ist definitiv kein Touristenort. Genau deshalb würden wir wieder dorthin fahren, um von dort Ausflüge zu machen. Insg. haben wir in zwei Wochen dort nochmal 1.500km verfahren, u. a. darin Florenz, Lucca, Pisa, Massa (die Straße durch die Alpen ist vom Panorama her Pflicht) und die umliegenden wunderschönen Dörfer in den Bergen. Allerdings muss man sich für kleine Kinder schon etwas einfallen lassen, gerade, wenn keine anderen kleinen Kinder unter den Gästen sind. Und sehr freundlich und service-orientiert: Die Besitzer. Danke, Paola und Deinen Eltern, für den tollen Urlaub in Eurem schönen Anwesen!

Wonderful for relaxing the day away

The property is beautiful and the room was perfectly clean and maintained. The host was very attentive providing us with information to visit other towns in the area. We enjoyed the pool area a lot as our vacation was based mostly on relaxation however there is many opportunities to visit the local towns and attractions within a short drive. Gallicano has several restaurants within walking distance of this location which we enjoyed and the locals are very friendly.

prima locatie voor verblijf in Lucca en omgeving

Fijne en ruime vakantiewoning. Schoon en goed verzorgd. Fijne eigen buitenplaats om lekker te genieten. Gastvrij ontvangen door Paola en Carlo. Zij stonden klaar met hulp en tips als we dat nodig hadden. Goed verzorgde tuin met fruitbomen. Gallicano zelf biedt weinig voor de toerist. Wel uitgebreide supermarkt en goede restaurants op loopafstand. In de directe omgeving zijn enkele leuke plaatsen om te bezoeken. Naast de bekende plaatsen is ook Barga de moeite waard. In bergdorp Sillico zijn enkele prachtige wandelroutes uitgezet.
