About this property

16th century thatched cottage with swimming pool, driect access onto beach path

Meadow cottage is a real family party house,
l Huge dining table, garden, bbq, sunroom and bursting with original artwork and gorgeous colour schemes. Bifold doors lead onto a large hardwood decked area with a coastal themed planted garden which has plenty of seating areas. An absolute haven whilst still in the centre of the village. Meadows run alongside the garden meaning plenty of privacy. Greenfields cottage next door sleeps 6 and interconnecting internal door can be unlocked to accommodate a group of up to 16. Step outside the front door and you are immediately on the footpath to the beach. All you need to do is grab your board and wetsuit and walk down! Loads of choices for an evening out in the village, New Coast kitchen for world class dining, then the famous thatch pub for amazing devon hospitality. Watch the sun set from the garden then light the firepit and get the marshmallows out. There's a huge woodburner in the sitting room and plenty of board games if the rain sets in. Just cook up a feast on the brand new rangemaster cooker and have a party in the dining room, just bring a good play list! This is the first year for Meadow, please have a look.at our next door cottage Greenfields to read our guests reviews and have peace of mind you will be well looked after.

I live in Croyde with my two youngest children and my two dogs. I'm a seascape artist and love walking the coastal path for inspiration. Finding new swim and picnic spots is our favourite weekend pastime. After living here for 20 yrs we still find new ones each year!

Why they chose this property

I love living somewhere that feels like I'm on holiday the second I'm not working. The weather is a big part of our lives and I feel incredibly connected to nature and the seasons.

What makes this property unique

Meadow cottage is unique in that for a 400 yr old cottage it is flooded with light thanks to a hue sunroof on tge south side of the house. We are so lucky to be traffic free on our lane with the footpath to the beach running from.our front door. And if you don't fancy a 5/10 min walk to swim in the Atlantic, just jump in the swimming pool in the garden!
