A country villa in the beautiful88 Albaida Valley.

VILLA CLARA is in a beautiful hillside location, 300 metres from the village of Almiserat and 600 metres from Lloc Nou de San Jeroni. The villa is on 2 floors and can be rented as a whole or as two separate self contained apartments, each with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. The villa is surrounded by 1000 square metres of natural forested hillside, gardens and fruit trees. 2 large balconies furnished with wooden tables and chairs are perfect for dining outdoors. The pool is a magnificent 11 x 5 metres and maintained on a regular basis.The pool is closed from October till April. The pool area has a huge terrace, furnished with loungers, tables, chairs and umbrellas. The views from the house and pool are wonderful and look over the pine trees and orange groves to the other side of the valley.

I would just like to say that the villa was fantastic ( as were Sylvia and Alan ) and having stayed at many places over the years booked over the internet i can honestly say the pictures - particularly the pool area - looked beautiful but still didn't do it justice . anyway thanks again and hopefully will be out there again some time....

Holiday in Spain

We had a pleasant stay in a peaceful, green setting. We were able to enjoy the region between land and sea, and the beautiful, well-equipped villa with its lovely swimming pool.

Tranquility of the mountain landscape, beautiful views, amazing pool, comfortable house

Lovely stay on this peaceful location near two villages with panoramic viewsea across the mountains. House is set up for practical living......properly equipped kitchen, comfortable living area across a spacious ground and first floor apartments. Lovely pool and loads of seating/ tables. Easy drive to local beaches (we mainly went south of Gandia because it was quieter). We all loved it (family with daughters aged 9, 16, 19)

Séjour Casa Claire

Nous avons séjourné pendant 2 semaines dans les 2 logements. La piscine est très agréable. Les logements disposent de beaucoup d'équipements. Cependant la climatisation est installée uniquement dans le logement du haut. Nous avons eu un bon accueil de la propriétaire. Nous recommandons le logement. Le séjour était très bien. Le village est très vivant, et les locaux accueillant.

Casa estupenda para disfrutar con la familia

Lo mejor de la casa es sin duda la piscina, para los niños es ideal y los mayores la hemos disfrutado también a tope, y el mobiliario de la piscina también estaba muy bien( varias hamacas, sillas, sombrillas y 1 mesa grande). La casa te ofrece mucha privacidad y también está bastante bien por dentro, con mucho menaje en la cocina, son en realidad 2 casas y a nosotros que somos 8, el tener 2 neveras nos ha venido genial, sobre todo porque tampoco hay supermercado grande cerca y así pudimos hacer una compra grandes. La casa de arriba tiene aire acondicionado y ventiladores y la de abajo solo ventiladores en todas las estancias, pero hemos dormido a gusto aunque por el día hacia calor, Eso si, es conveniente llevar repelente de insectos porque hay mucha vegetación alrededor de la casa y hay bastantes mosquitos. Claire ha estado siempre pendiente, y nos solucionaron rápidamente un pequeño problema que surgió. La ubicación está un poco lejos de todo en general, pero si quieres tranquilidad y privacidad es ideal. La limpieza de la casa a la llegada bien, pero mejorable sobre todo en el piso de abajo. Pero en resumen hemos estado muy a gusto y hemos disfrutado de la casa, los porches y la piscina. La recomendamos.

Week of chill time

We had a good stay, it was quiet and relaxing. There were a couple of things damaged from the previous tenant which wasn't a great impression. The lock on the door broke which meant extra vigilance was needed to avoid getting locked in or out, and the pool was not clear which we pointed out within 5 minutes of our arrival, Claire was responsive but it still took 3 days until the pool guy put something in the pool specifically to clear it. I just put it down to bad luck but I was on holiday so I didnt get worked up about it. Mosquitos made being outside during our stay after 5pm impossible when we were there end of august - but thats more of a personal tolerance and doesnt relate to Claire or the villa. We didn't take the bins when we left and Claire sent a message the following day saying she expects guests to take their own rubbish. I'm not sure what the purpose of that message was as we'd left the country by then but obviously we'd have taken the bins if the lady who checked us out and we chatted with for 15 minutes had said it was a big issue. All the message served to do was leave a bit of a bad taste and left us a bit flat after what was otherwise a chilled out holiday with some happy memories.

Un séjour agréable et reposant !

Nous avons passé 2 semaines dans la villa de Claire. Nous avons vraiment apprécié ce séjour, la maison est très bien, la piscine super agréable et très grande, on a une vue superbe sur les montagnes. Il faut faire environ 20 à 25 minutes pour aller en voiture à la plage de Gandia ou pour faire les courses dans un supermarché. La maison se situe dans un petit village calme et retiré, il faut le visiter, c'est mignon et typique, et il y a de grandes balades à pied à faire autour. Claire, la propriétaire, est très facilement joignable par whatsapp, elle répond rapidement ! Elle nous a conseillé un bar restaurant pour commander une paella, c'était très bon ! Les seuls points négatifs, ce sont les moustiques ! Mais ça personne n'y peut rien. La literie qui pourraient t être renouvelée, certains lits ne sont pas très confortables. Si nous en avons l'occasion, nous y retournerons !!

La propriété et la piscine correspondent tout à fait à la description de l'annonce. Il y fait très calme. pour les restaurants, magasins, plages, il faut faire quelques kilomètres.. La propriétaire est à l'écoute et très réactive.

Quiet rural location with beautiful views

Well priced with a lovely and good sized pool. There were a few minor teething problems which were rectified and we would recommend bringing own pool towels (currently not provided) & arrive with mosquito repellents which we hadn't thought about. Would recommend visit to one of the larger supermarkets in Gandia before arriving. We had a very restful and thoroughly enjoyable week.

Todo perfecto, desde la entrada a la estancia hasta la salida de la misma. Hemos pasado unos días increíbles: la casa estaba situada en un lugar bastante tranquilo, lo cual te permitía poder descansar con total tranquilidad. Quisiera destacar el trato de la anfitriona, Claire, el cual fue magnífico en todo momento; estando presente siempre para cualquier problema que pudiese surgir, o incluso guiarnos a la hora de tener que movernos por la zona. Como dato curioso, puesto que nos hizo mucha gracia, todos los días nos despertaba (a las cinco de la mañana), un gallo situado en una granja cercana a la vivienda. Sin duda lo recomendamos.

Das Haus liegt sehr schön im Wald mit Blick auf die Berge und hat einen großen Pool, Klimaanlage und alles, was man braucht. Außerdem hat uns das Interieur gefallen. Das Haus wirkte nicht wie eine spartanisch eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, sondern wie ein geschmackvolles Zuhause. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Super bolig, med plads til mange. Der er mulighed for at slappe helt af. Godt internet til trods for at der var flere på. Fine senge dog ikke så store . Det er ikke så nemt at være lokal, da det er lidt uden for “alt” men et skønt sted. Dejlig pool. Vi havde et egern der besøgte os tit.

Agréables vacances dans la villa, superbe piscine et bien entretenue par Alan, le régisseur. La vue sur la vallée est superbe car la Villa est en hauteur, ombragée et l'environnement est calme. La cuisine est bien équipée et fonctionnelle. Le barbecue est tout à fait correct et en très bon état. Les ventilateurs et la climatisation nous ont permis de dormir au frais malgré une température extérieure de 28 degrés. Je garde de côté cette location pour revenir ou la proposer à des amis. Vacances sans stress

Arrivée coordonnée par SMS avec Steeve qui nous a très bien accueilli. Maison conforme à la description. Nous avons réservé les 2 logement (haut et bas)... Nous avions donc la piscine pour nous. A l'intérieur nombreux équipements et DVD. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Merci encore au propriétaire et à Steeve pour ces formidables vancances.

A Perfect Getaway Retreat

This is the ideal place for getting away from it all! Tranquil, peaceful and in a beautiful setting overlooking a traditional Spanish village and a lovely green valley. We would highly recommend this villa if you need to recharge your batteries and escape all the hustle and bustle of a busy life. The rooms and décor are of a pleasant and acceptable level and very clean. Steve and June (who met us on arrival) were most welcoming and extremely helpful—thanks. The swimming pool was excellent and most refreshing, and is in the sun all day long. Lots of books to read—thanks—and many dvds watch. Unless there is a fiesta on in the village, then this may not suit those with teenaged children, though there is plenty to do and see within a short driving distance. The beaches of Gandia are beautiful and there are plenty of shops and places of interest, but again you need to drive. However, to be honest we spent most of our time at the villa simply enjoying the peace and quiet. Thank you Phil and Claire for offering this villa for rent, we shall return again! Sandra

we spent very good holidays in a very beautifull place and well kept.for those who love tranquility in a small pleasant village,all with what everyone up .... the sun ;-)the beach of Gandia for sunbathing and fun day and the beaches of the evening in Oliva for partying at the beach bars.it's 20 or 30 minutes by car.AFTER SEEING IF THERE IS YOUNG PEOPLE... if your are a little curios will do a tour in small villages in the area,they are all very nice.. important : if you want to buy some food when you arrive saturday, know that,there is a supermarket open until 9 pm has VILLALONGA. it's very well and very easy to go well ! every time that we needed,especially for the pool, steve was there in the day. super !!but as everything was going very well whe have not seen a lot !! ;-) in the house,it does lack really nothing ..there are everything to. Really we are not disappointed our holidays. and for the rest it does not matter because we are in holidays this is the main,KEEP IT SIMPLE; thank you Steve,thank you June

Disappointed to say the least!

Overall impression can only be one of total dismay. My mother booked this for two weeks vacation thinking it may be her "last holiday" and wanted it to be special. As she resides in Spain we had to travel over to transport her here. After a disaster trying to find the place we were met by June and Steve otherwise the "holiday" would never have commenced. We were quickly shown around and left by the friendly managers. We were to find the reason for their hasty departure very soon. Casa Vernisa is where parents had set their minds on staying on the lower floos for ease as mum is recovering from operation. This was unhabitable due to overwhelming smell of damp and not heated at all apat from a heater June and Steve had left in both apartments. They also left an extra throw for parents bed due to cold. We later discovered this to be very damp and covered in black mould. Concensus on 1st night was that we all would have to stay in Casa Clara. The photographs on this site must have been when works had first been completed several years ago as believe me everything has detioriated and requires an overhaul. We spent three days of our "holiday" cleaning and washing bedding that has seen better days and had an awful smell to it. Not only that matress covers were grey and had not been changed for years, even to the point of being full of sand and sweet wrappers from previous tenants. Shower room glass partition was full of scum and all grouting was dirty. All opening windows were disgusting. Ovens not working correctly and never been cleaned for years...........................the list is endless. Not started on pool area yet. The whole experience was not enjoyable and hope when the owners do return they can do somethin about it. If it had not been for booking into a hotel in Valencia for two night and cutting holiday short by several days as it became unbearable I think we would have been seriously ill staying in this abode.

As owners of Villa Clara, we are shocked by this review. My manager has written to me,” We are as disgusted at this review as much as this person seems to be about the villa! Utter rubbish and nonsense! If the villa was in such poor condition as stated by the review, then surely the previous guests and the following guests would have had similar things to say, but they didn't. When you arrive at the villa each time, that is the standard and condition that all your guests are met with. We never make hasty retreats when we meet and greet, and all guests are told numerous times to contact us day or night, should there ever be any issues or problems, and nothing was said to us this time. I would imagine that the holiday was not the success they imagined it would be by the renters themselves and hence, a bad review was written. What more can I say? Other than we do our utmost to give a good service and 90+% of all visitors only have good things to say about the villa, its location, facilities, cleanliness and its staff (June and Steve)”. Owners: We had written to the renter (the mother of the review writer) and had asked her where to refund her deposit and how she had enjoyed her holiday. We did not get any inkling of a negative response and refunded her deposit promptly as usual. We were surprised that she did not say anything negative, as our manager, Steve, had told us that the family had not been happy when he went to collect the keys at end of the holiday. Much more was said concerning family relations to our manager, but I hesitate to give details as they were private. All we can say is that we have had lots of very positive reviews (indeed, glowing ones) and hope that this one bad review does not detract from our reputation as providers of a wonderful, comfortable holiday setting. Difficult to find a better place for loading up the batteries. Whether you go on exploring the area or just staying at the pool, the location is perfect.
