Town: With the remnants of King Arthur's Castle dominating the cliffside just outside the settlement, Tintagel is a popular but not overrun tourist destination. The location is surrounded by water, with beautiful rocky coves and scenery. Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove are just two of the beaches in the area, and surfing is the main draw for people who enjoy spending time in the sea. It's recommended that you stop at the Old Post Office (National Trust) while you're in Tintagel or one of the town's many restaurants or bars. The active can take advantage of the fact that the Southwest Coast Path runs right through the middle of town, winding its way along the cliffs and down to the water's edge through some truly breath-taking landscape on its journey to or from the sea.
