About this property
Hideaway Pine Cabin With Great Sea Views In Peaceful Location
Hideaway commands fantastic views of the North Cornish coastline from Tintagel Head to Lundy Island, great for watching Atlantic sun sets from the deck, with a glass of wine in hand and perhaps a BBQ'd supper treat! Listen to the rooks nesting at the end of the day and get away from the hustle and bustle of it all, in this secluded, quiet corner of the village. Hideaway offers a great place to relax, sunbathe & to explore the local area. It is a 15 minute walk to the South West Coastpath and offers several circular walking routes, one being via the serene Minster Church, through St Peter's Wood down to Boscastle harbour. The cabin has 1 double bedroom, 1 twin room, a shower room with toilet, a well equipped kitchen/ lounge/diner, a deck, patio, and BBQ area in the garden. Visitors can dine alfresco on the decking or in the garden whilst admiring the sea views. The village is very picturesque and offers great places to eat and drink, coastal walks and much much more to explore locally. Parking spaces: 1 x layby space, 1 x off road space, 30 yrds from layby. Tea, coffee provided. Free WiFi. 15 steps up to the property make this unsuitable for wheelchair users, those with accessibility issues. Sorry no pets.

This 2 bedroom pine cabin is in a wonderful, secluded location with the most amazing views over Boscastle, the castle, the lookout, and the sea. It's garden is fantastic to relax in and sit back to enjoy the endless sunsets in the evening. We had a brilliant few days staying here, exploring and walking in the local area.
A great find and I would fully recommend it for a holiday.
We had everything we needed and more. We were made to feel really welcome.
The location was excellent. We really enjoyed our mini break here.
Thank you very much!
This is a lovely cabin. It has everything you need for a stay. Plenty of games to play and books to read. Cleaning materials and kitchen consumables provided. Beautiful views. Host very helpful.
This was our second stay at The Hideaway and my family and I loved it just as much. A perfect place to relax with stunning views over Boscastle and the sea beyond. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. Lovely well equipped cabin with immaculately kept garden. Hope to return again sometime soon. Thanks Juliette.
Comfy clean lovely view ,
Steep steps up to property and on a very steep road as is most of the area. Definitely need a car to get around. Boscastle village is very pretty.
We spent 5 nights at the Hideaway and loved our stay. Very quiet and a very good location for visiting the North Cornwall coast and nearby attractions Tintagel, Polzeath, Padstow etc. The accommodation was cozy and compact and well-equipped. We eat-in each evening with good cooking facilities. Nice sitting area. Great views to the sea, sadly we did not use the garden much due to the poor weather. The access to the property via steep and narrow steps might be a little tricky for the less abled but the beauty of the cabin is that it is very private, We would gladly return, in particular, in summer months the garden much be a joy to sit out in. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!
We had a magical week at the house. The views are stunning and it was lovely to be able to wander in to Boscastle and having a great pub on the doorstep (really amazing food!) was a bonus. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable and Juliette is a welcoming and helpful host.
We enjoyed the harbour, coastal walks, horse riding on Bodmin Moor, a visit to Bodmin jail and a local water park. We are a family with an 11 and 15 year old and there is lots to do in the area. All of the above and body boarding at Trebarwith, beautiful Bossiney Cove and Crackington Haven. It's a beautiful spot in a beautiful part of the world, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Lodge in a quiet location with lovely views. Ideally located not only for Boscastle but also Bude, Tintagel, Port Isaac and National Trust properties all a short drive away.
Plenty of walks nearby too.
Great break away.
Thank you Juliette
My family and I had such a lovely stay at The Hideaway - we were all so impressed and so happy during our stay. The cabin is so well maintained, spotless and cozy ! WHAT a great property and WHAT a lovely location too!! …. And did I mention the view ?? … wow !! Such a peaceful setting and with beautiful private garden which is not overlooked. Great place to relax and also excellent location from which to explore the local area ! Boscastle and environs were soooo nice, and we loved the nearby local pub The Napoleon. Even nearby convenience store also walking distance - Bonus! We just couldn’t fault our stay, and Juliette is a fantastic host, also providing all the info you could ever need. Thanks Juliette !

I was born and bred in Boscastle, I have lived here most of my life except for various worldwide trips. But for me Cornwall really does beat anywhere else! It's beaches and sunsets win over any I have seen across the globe. I especially enjoy swimming in the sea, jumping off the historic pier in the harbour, cycling the roads or paths and walking along the South West Coastpath. I love taking picnics (or a pasty) up to the lookout to stare at that expansive sea. There is so much to do in Cornwall, there are live bands at the Eden project, sea kayaking at Port Isaac, open-air theatre at the Minack , National Trust properties, award winning places to eat with well known chefs, and an ever growing wine & cider industry. As a foodie I am always in search of good food & drink, especially afternoon teas, as well as sourcing quality meat, fish and vegetables. Luckily Boscastle farm shop opened up on the outskirts of the village, making it a great walk or drive, that meets all these criteria!
Why they chose this property
It's was the land behind the house my Gran lived in when I was growing up. As a kid at my Gran's, I would learn to make pasties and camp on the lawn in a tent during summer, listening to the rooks nesting in the trees on balmy nights. This was once a vegetable plot. So I was pleased as punch at the opportunity to take this property on and 'keep it local' -as they say! I am quite an active person and enjoy the benefits of the countryside, moorland and seaside, I especially love cycling. I think Hideaway is a great spot to explore from, enjoying what North Cornwall has to offer. 40 minutes can have you at Rick Steins fish and chip shop in Padstow (alternatively cycle there from Wadebridge with all the family). There are a variety of beaches within 15-40 minutes drive going both North and South, most of which offer surf lessons, kayaking or coasteering. There are plenty of walking and cycle routes for all abilities. There are so many fantastic spots in North Cornwall, stunning vistas and a great local atmosphere to boot!
What makes this property unique
There is so much to see, do, taste and try that I can't list them all here. Something that is special to Boscastle is The Boscastle Buoys, who sing traditional Cornish songs in the local pub every Tuesday night, they always delight! I have compiled an information guide which can be found in the cabin to help you decide what to do first! Whatever your tastes there will be something: from train rides, kid's play worlds/farms, wild food foraging , kayaking trips, outdoor concerts, sailing, ice-skating, trout fishing, horse riding, hiring a classic car or a day trip to the Isles of Scilly, Cornwall has a lot to offer you! So come and experience it!
