Great place

We had a great stay at the Pool House. Easy to find with Google Maps, our arrival was painless. Carlos, and his father, were welcoming and helpful. The house is comfortable and had all we needed. The pool was great. Ten minute walk into the local village: supermarket, pharmacy, bars. Twenty minute walk to the Atlantic Ocean. Great place from which to explore northern Portugal. We enjoyed our time there. Easily recommended.

Por la casa, preciosa, con piscina, con árboles y macizos de flores... Y unos dueños amables, educadísimos (como buenos portugueses), generosos...También es cierto que nosotros estuvimos al principio de la temporada, muy tranquilos, con otros huéspedes que apenas vimos.

Sehr gut um die Seele baumeln zu lassen

Alles prima und wie erwartet/beschrieben, Unterkunft einwandfrei, Gastgeber sehr nett, freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem haben wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub in und um Afife verbracht. Einen kleinen Wermutstropfen gibt es aber: Das zu Unzeiten immer wieder auftretende Hundegebell aus der Umgebung > das ist schon "nervend" und gewöhnungsbedürftig, dafür kann der Gastgeber aber absolut gar nichts und irgendwann hat man sich auch daran gewöhnt. Also nochmals vielen Dank für alles.

Traumhaft

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in diesem traumhaft schönen Ort genossen. Das Haus liegt in einem großen Garten eines alten Hauses und wurde mit viel Liebe ausgestattet. Pool vor der Nase, Blumenduft in der Nase, Ruhe und Entspannung pur. Der Strand ist etwas weg, kann aber zu Fuß gut erreicht werden. Der Besitzer hat uns Restaurants empfohlen. Leider waren die jedoch zu (vielleicht waren wir zur falschen Zeit dort). Das Poolhaus ist wirklich nur zu empfehlen!

Tolles Ferienhaus!

Wunderschönes, helles Ferienhaus, etwas ländlicher gelegen, mit herrlich grüner Anlage in Afife. Im Ort findet man Alles was man braucht in fussläufiger Entfernung; sowohl Supermarkt, Bars und Restaurants und vor allem aber die Strände von Careço bis Moledo - alle super schön und einsam bis wenig besucht, selbst im August. Die Wellen eignen sich sehr zum Surfen. Wem das Meer zu frisch ist, für den ist der sehr gepflegte und rund 12m lange Pool eine tolle Alternative. Zum Bahnhof läuft man in 10min. Damit werden auch Tages-Wanderungen entlang der Küste (z.B. auf Etappen des portugiesischen Küsten-Jakobsweges) möglich. Gute Zug-Anbindung nach Viana do Vastelo und von da aus nach Porto und Vigo. Mietwagen kann man gut in Viana leihen um damit in etwas mehr als 1,5h ins Naturschutzgebiet Pereda-Gerês zu fahren. In Viana do Castelo aber auch in Villa Praia de Âncora gibt es in nur 5-15min Fahrzeit entfernt noch ein größeres Gastro- und Supermarktangebot Sehr herzliche Gastgeber und gleichzeitig sehr dezent! Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden bestimmt noch mal wieder kommen!

Das Ferienhaus ist perfekt eingerichtet. Frühstück auf der Terrasse, ein sehr schöner Pool im Garten, was will man mehr. Aber Carlos schafft es dieses wunderschöne Anwesen mit seiner großartigen Gastfreundschaft noch zu toppen. Man kann sich bei ihm und seiner Frau absolut wohl fühlen.

Perfect place

Carlos and his father gave us a feeling like being at home. The house is fully equipped and very clean. The pool is fabulous. And there is a lot to do in the area. The beaches are not far from outside the front door and you can reach Porto in less than an hour. The father of Carlos gave us some nice tips what to do in the area. Thanks for the recommendations. Great Place and really nice hosts

We have been here for 3 weeks and just enjoyed every Single Day! The house is really nice and has everything you need as a family, we specially loved the house for beeing kids/baby friendly and save (fence around the Pool, nice Garden, highchair and babybed….). There is one Playground within a 5min walk and another one within a 10min car Ride. You can find even more in each City. The houseowners are so nice, courteous, thoughtful and they always have a smile for you :) We loved the Little Café across the Road and enjoyed a Café and some fresh baked bread every day! Afife is a good place to Start a Trip in different directions. There are a lot of places/Citys you can discover but you will need a car. You can also choose between a couple of really nice beaches within a 10min car Ride. All over it has been a pleasure staying here and we will definitly come back!

Spacious one bedroom apartment.

This is a good property close to a lovely Atlantic beach that is good for surfing and body boarding. The property is secluded and there is a lovely pool that you share with one other property. The kitchen is sufficient for self catering and there is a supermarket close by. The location is good for exploring North Portugal, including the Lima Valley and the Miho boarder towns. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this property.

Wunderschöner Garten

In mitten eines liebevoll gepflegten Gartens liegt das kleine Ferienhäuschen. Man möchte die ganze Zeit draußen sein und die verschiedenen Sitzecken genießen. Frische Brötchen um die Ecke und sehr freundliche Vermieter runden das Urlaubsbild perfekt ab. Wir haben uns hier prächtig erholt.

Lovely quiet retreat

Clean modern villa in quiet village with good pool. Plenty of room for 2 (futon for 2 more), and everything you need included. Warm welcome, but then left to enjoy the space. Albert cleaned the pool often and was available to help if needed. Walking distance of a lovely big beach, plus local shops, pharmacy, cafes and restaurants. Had a great relaxing break, thank you.

Really nice apartment in a nice area.

The self contained apartment is spacious and reasonably well equipped. We had full use of the gardens and swimming pool (not heated). The owners parents are on site but were always helpful and unobtrusive - the basket of fruit was welcome - fresh off of the gardens trees. We were even allowed to park our motorcycle off street in the entrance courtyard.The village of Afife is small but has 4 coffee shops (!) and is a short drive away from the picturesque seaside resorts. A very pretty seaside area well worth exploring as are the mountain roads.

Pequeno Éden

Gostei imenso da estada, foi maravilhoso. O T1 é realmente uma casinha de sonho. Da kitchenette está-se praticamente já com um pé na piscina, dá-se dois passos porta fora, estica-se um braço e a mão alcança uma pêra que se degusta com prazer. De um dos lados da piscina existe uma ramada de uvas americanas e à entrada da propriedade também, estas por sinal são mais doces. Existe ainda junto à piscina uma "rede" para se jogar badminton , cujas raquetes e penas estão acondicionadas dentro de casa. A salientar ainda o facto de existir dentro da casa um tapavento e guarda-sol para os esquecidos apreciadores de longas horas na praia. Aliás praias não faltam para usufruírem aqui próximo (Afife, Carrêço, Arda etc.), as quais são ricas em iodo. Saliento ainda o sossego e a calma, bem como a proximidade do café que tem sempre pão quentinho e onde se pode registar o Euromilhões e jogar bilhar. Existe ainda e mais afastado um supermercado para desenrascar. Mais adiante do supermercado encontram-se dois restaurantes (Mariana e Sr. Bacalhão). "Mariana" tem um prato que é o robalo cozido em algas. Muito bom. Acabamos por não ir ao restaurante "Sr. Bacalhau", mas dizem que também é muito bom e como o nome indica a especialidade são os pratos confecionados à base de bacalhau. Para os crentes, ou simplesmente apreciadores de munomentos, a Igreja da aldeia dista uns 40 metros da quinta e, é muito bonita e rica. Para terminar a simpatia do casal proprietário da quinta, os Senhores do pequeno éden que nos deixaram à vontade inclusive autorizaram o consumo do fruto das árvores da quinta. De facto esta simpatia e esta forma simples, mas muito natural de receber, garantiu e garante aos hóspedes uma sensação de liberdade, um à vontade excelentes, para usufruírem em pleno daquela tranquilidade e descanso que se busca depois de um ano de trabalho. Muito Obrigado. Havemos de repetir.
