About this property
An Serrach 3 bedroom home VRBO
The sense of anticipation is palpable as you make your way along narrow country roads
bordered with verdant wildflower-filled hedges, before turning a corner where the view
unfolds – the Atlantic Ocean in all its majesty, punctuated by the dramatic steep column of a
sea stack, like a seabound watchtower protecting the coastline. Here at Kinard Strand this
beachside retreat is in a truly magical setting. An Searrach (the foal), is named for the sea
stack it overlooks and walks along the headland offer wonderful views of the famed rock
formation.

Living Room
Hamptons beachcomber chic sums up this restful living room which combines comfort, light
and airy vibes. A corner couch offers the perfect spot to sprawl and soak up the incredible
views, while two rocking chairs placed in the bay window make for the ideal wind down
spot. A glass-top coffee table showcases the spoils of the sea, with driftwood, stones and
shells – maybe you’ll leave behind your own beach find to represent your chapter in the
story of this house.
An open fire and flatscreen TV await you, to cosy up on the couch, after a day roaming the
headland and dipping in the sea.
Kitchen – Dining Room
The stylish kitchen is fitted out in dark blue with marbled counter tops adding a light touch
and wooden floors giving warmth. The central island makes a social focal point, linking the
kitchen to the dining area, with a country style dining table seating six comfortably.
Bay windows in the kitchen bring lots of light to the room, and French doors to the side of
the house lead out to enjoy the views and delights of the garden at the front of the house.
The fully equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave,
full size fridge-freezer with integrated bottle rack, electric hob and oven.
The stone-floored utility room has an extra sink and houses the washing machine. A back
door opens out to the back garden and washing line.
Bedrooms
The front bedroom downstairs is the one to nab – a spacious double with wooden floors and
mirrored built in wardrobes, this is the room with a view, and what a view to wake up to –
fling open the shutters and breathe in the sea air. It also boasts a stone-tiled en suite with
shower.
Bedroom two downstairs will not disappoint either – also generously sized and boasting
plenty of wardrobe space, its location at the rear of the house offers a very different view,
looking towards the mountains, so your first view of the day is a peak beckoning to you to
get outdoors and take on its challenge. The weary hiker can enjoy a soak in the tub in the
spacious en suite bathroom at the end of the day.
Upstairs is a large room ideal for children or a group of friends, with a double bed, twin beds
and a small pull-out couch bed. The room also has an en suite bathroom with shower.
Bathrooms
The large family bathroom upstairs is flooded with light from a Velux window and offers a
bath and electric shower. Each of the bedrooms has an en suite, two with showers, one with
bath and shower.
Outdoor Spaces
Generous gardens and lawns surround the house, with plenty of room for sunbathing,
barbecuing and kickabouts. Dine out and watch the sunset from the southwest-facing front
gardens, or if you’re an early bird, see the sun rise up from beyond the rocky cliffs of the
Iveragh Peninsula.
