About this property
BECKSIDE HOUSE, pet friendly, with a garden in Cockermouth
Beckside House in Eaglesfield, Cumbria, sleeps six guests in three bedrooms.
The living areas in this property consist of a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer, and a living/dining room with TV. The bedrooms consist of a double, a ground-floor double, and a twin, along with a bathroom and a ground-floor shower room. Outside there is a rear patio with furniture, and off-road parking for three cars. You'll find a shop in 2 miles and a pub in 1.7 miles. One well-behaved dog welcomed, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Beckside House is a wonderful base for exploring Cumbria and the surrounding national park. Note: There are steps to the exterior of the property.
Amenities: Underfloor heating with air source heat pumps. Electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. TV, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for 3 cars. Rear garden with patio and furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 2 miles, pub 1.7 miles. Note: There are steps to the exterior of the property. Note: This property has a ramp up to the back door and a shower suitable for any guests with mobility issues.
Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
Town: Despite being only 13 miles from Keswick, the sleepy agricultural market town of Cockermouth is located in the peaceful northwest region of the Lake District. The National Trust presently operates Wordsworth's Georgian family home on the main street, which is a well-liked tourist destination. The town is well-known for being the birthplace of both Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and William Wordsworth. Cockermouth has a nice selection of stores, bars, and restaurants, but (obviously) the area's major draw is the stunning scenery and fantastic hiking in the northern lakes, including Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water, and Derwent Water.
