This beautifully appointed 2 double bedroomed (king/twin size) apartment makes an excellent base for a relaxing holiday on the prestigious West Coast of Barbados within the parish of St James. Set within the idyllic resort community of Sugar Hill, this apartment has wonderful views over the free-form pool and sublime tropical gardens.

The Master Bedroom has air conditioning and en-suite Bathroom with double vanity unit, full bath and large walk-in shower. The Second/Guest Bedroom also has air conditioning, plus en-suite shower. Both bedrooms have private doors leading out on to the large balcony overlooking the freeform pool and mature tropical gardens, which are delightful. The Lounge area is well furnished and also has doors leading directly on to the balcony, where you will find a large dining table for al fresco dining and two relaxing chairs. There is cable TV, high speed internet and telephone for local calls only. If you you wish to self cater there is a well equipped Kitchen area plus Laundry Room. Housekeeping will attend 2-3 times a week to suit.

The apartment is located on the first floor, which provides beautiful views of the grounds, and access is provided via an elevator or by taking the stairs. All communal areas are extremely well maintained. Sugar Hill is a private gated community with 24hour security personnel.

Just 200 yards walk away is Sugar Hill's centrally located Clubhouse with stunning large infinity pool with spectacular views looking out towards the Caribbean Sea. Here you'll find "The Deck at Sugar Hill" restaurant and bar - the perfect spot to just relax and enjoy their delicious food and cocktails. The Clubhouse also holds the reception, with friendly staff always on hand happy to help with taxis etc. Adjacent to the Clubhouse is the fully equipped air conditioned gym for your use, with excellent changing facilities. Four floodlit tennis courts are opposite the clubhouse available for complimentary use for all residents / guests.

In addition to the facilities within Sugar Hill, we are fortunate to also have access to the beach club located at The Royal Fairmont Hotel, which is only five minutes away by car. This location is one of the West Coast's most beautiful stretches of beach. Sun beds are provided free of charge. If you wish to enjoy any of the water sports on offer this can be arranged at the beach club, however these are chargeable. For golfers there are the well known clubs of Royal Westmoreland, Sandy Lane or Apes Hill close by. There are many fine restaurants located in the area namely, The Lone Star, Tides, Paul Owens at The Beach House (former Chef at The Cliff), Sea Shed (Mullins Beach), and Cin Cin - the list goes on. There is an extensive fully stocked supermarket in Holetown, just a few minutes away by car if you wish to self-cater.

We stayed at Dave & Mary's place for 16 nights over Christmas & New Year and it really felt like a home from home. Upon check-in, we were delighted to see a Christmas tree setup which was a lovely touch & our toddler loved looking at the decorations. The apartment is very comfortable and fully equipped with everything you'd need for cooking, plus the likes of towels & a cool box for days at the beach. Sugar Hill is a fantastic development. The grounds are nicely maintained. We used the pool most days and often had it to ourselves. We also ate at the restaurant once which was very good. I would highly recommend staying here at Dave & Mary's apartment, and we hope to come back one day! Thank you for an unforgettable holiday :-)

Chris and Katina made our stay wonderful. Quiet, Super clean and well appointed condo.. Only advice is to bring your own standard coffee filters as we could not find them at the store. We loved Tala and everything about our stay at Sugar Hill. We have stayed at many places in Barbados and this was the apartment we enjoyed the most. It was peaceful, quiet and immaculate. The onsite bar and restaurant at Sugar Hill was a massive bonus and the girls running it were a credit to the resort. Housekeeper Katania and property manager Chris are top class.

Amazing in every way!

There is absolutely nothing to be negative about with this property and owners! My wife and I have had a wonderful time in this beautiful home on a wonderful and secure estate. Close to everything on the island and with access to Holetown beaches this property was a delight. Our most impressive stay that we have had anywhere when using VRBO or other platforms. Wow! What a lovely condo stay. Beautiful accommodation in a gated community on the upper west coast of Barbados. We had a fantastic holiday at sugarhill and loved the apartment ‘Tala’. We particularly liked the combination of pool complex/beach facilities. The beach at the FRP was fantastic with great water sports for all ages. We loved the speedboat trips & the inflatable airhead! Great supermarket at Holetown and great shopping at the the lime grove. There’s something for everyone in wonderful Holetown! 😎🌴

Excellent communication with the owners before our visit ensured that our stay was just about perfect. The apartment is absolutely lovely and so well equipped. We wanted for nothing. The apartment was everything it promised and more. All the fittings were of an extremely high standard and everything very comfortable. We were delayed by one day as our flight was cancelled and then we were late arriving at the property but the agent couldn't have been nicer (although I'm sure he had better things to do on a Sunday evening!). The location is very good - the Sugar Hill estate is all high spec properties and only 5 minutes or less into the Holetown and the beach. The beach club access worked easily and the beach is wonderful! The apartment balcony is a fabulous place for breakfast or just relaxing with a book!

Perfect in every way!

Our family of 4 (2 parents and 2 adult daughters) stayed at this stunning condo between Christmas and New Year’s. It was roomy enough for us all to relax and unwind. The furnishings were comfortable and the decor was lovely. The balcony was one of our favorite features and we spent mornings out there drinking coffee and evenings there listening to the chirping frogs. The sunsets were spectacular from there as well! Sugar Hill was a great resort community - we loved the convenience of the restaurant and bar and the pools were quiet and clean. The Fairmount Beach Club (passes are included in the rental) was enjoyable and we found the 5-minute drive easy and there was always plenty of parking at the club for guests. We rented a car and were glad we did so as we enjoyed visiting Holetown for shopping and dining. The owners and property managers were pleasant and answered questions quickly. We are hoping to return to this condo in the future (we hoped to rebook for next year but our holiday week is not available). You will not be disappointed in this unit.

Fantastic place to stay

This was our second trip to Barbados but our first in self accommodation and Tala did not disappoint! A beautiful apartment with everything we needed to feel at home. Well equipped with everything a family needs (washer/dryer, beach towels and cooler box etc) plus a spacious balcony where we ate and chilled out at various times of the day. The pool was handily close and great size for our children (age 7 & 12) with the larger, infinity pool by the bar/restaurant for them to play in whilst we enjoyed sunset cocktails! We received a warm welcome from Chris (Property Manager) on arrival who had organised a welcome pack of essential food items to cover our first few days (an optional service but well worth it if you have kids!) and he was readily accessible throughout our stay for any queries. The property was cleaned twice during our stay by the lovely Katina who kept the place immaculate and delighted our children with her fabulous towel creations (with hidden treats!). We hired a car for our stay and Sugar Hills was perfectly located to explore the west coast. We enjoyed our stay at Tala so much that we’ve abreast rebooked to rerun next Summer!

Tala is Top Notch!

We just returned from a 10 day stay at Tala and would highly recommend this property! Here are the top reasons why:-the owners are very quick to respond and answer any questions that came up-Chris (the property manager) met us at the apartment to check us in, super professional and friendly, made sure we were comfortable and answered any questions, the welcome gift upon arrival was unexpected, a very nice touch!-Katina (housekeeping) is outstanding at what she does. The place was spotless upon arrival and she scheduled a mid stay clean which was excellent. She even decorated the condo with Christmas decorations and a tree and her towel art is joyful. -The pictures of the apartment are very accurate, the unit is tastefully decorated and we thoroughly enjoyed the huge balcony. The kitchen has everything you need to feel at home and cook as you please.-The Sugar Hill complex is beautifully maintained, feels very safe and is ideally located on the west coast, close to many great restaurants, shopping and the beautiful beach. The passes to the Fairmont beach facility make it very easy to comfortable enjoy long days at the beach.Next time we’re in Barbados, we will definitely stay at Tala!This is a true 5 star property.
