Altamira is situated on the beach next to the five star Riu Palace Hotel.

The apartment has been furnished to a very good standard with all mod cons and is air conditioned for your comfort, with a large double bedroom. Leading from the living room there is a spacious balcony, with stunning sea and mountain views.
The balcony is furnished with a table and chairs for four people to enable you to dine al fresco in comfort. There is also available for your use two reclining chairs for relaxing on the balcony.
FIBRE OPTIC WIFI IN THE APARTMENT IS NOW INCLUDED, not all apartments have this. There is a SAFE INCLUDED in the apartment for your convenience.

The apartment also benefits from three swimming pools, one of the two large pools is heated and there is a further toddlers pool, perfect for smaller children.

Altamira is a front line sea complex, next door to the five star Riu Palace hotel, leading straight onto the famous Del Duque beach, where you are able to relax on their lovely beach loungers which you can purchase for a small fee. There are several beach bars within walking distance and the Altamira chillout bar. The apartment has easy access to all amenities, including the local markets for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.
This apartment is ideal for families, with plenty to do in the surrounding areas during your stay.

Nice location, warm pool but cockroach upon arrival

Nice points: location is amazing, pool is warm for kids and it is as advertised. Less nice: door to terrace doesn't close good and a bit of noise from the nextdoor hotel VERY NEGATIVE POINT: we arrived and there was a cockroach on the kitchen top. We were informed after that there is a general issue in the apartment block with cockroaches. We had to spray the apartment a couple of times to be sure. Only book if you can handle cockroaches...

Once our agent in Tenreife brought the issue of the damaged patio door to our attention, a new patio door has been ordered and should be fitted before the end of May. The Altamira complex is situated between the 5* Riu Palace and the Riu Arecas hotels and sometimes a bit of entertainment noise can be heard but people are generally on holiday enjoying themselves. If you require an apartment with no noise, I suggest to look for something remote in the hills. Unfortunately, we cannot control the behavior of A cockroach. We are totally unaware of any issues with cockroaches in the apartment or the block? Issues can only be dealt with if you report them to our representative in Tenerife and in this case nothing was reported. We expect our clients to have a certain standard of basic cleanliness ie to at least empty the bins on a daily basis. We have 5* reviews on other sites and our other VRBO review is from a client that stayed most recently mid to end of April.

Gute Lage etwas abseits des Touristenzentrums

Etwas entfernter Blick zum Meer und nahegelegenem öffentlichen Parkplatz. Einfache Ausstattung. Fernsehempfang sehr oft gestört. Langsames WLAN. Kleines Bad. Bei Rückkehr von Ausflügen mit dem Leihwagen schwierige Parkplatzsuche.
