Endways Cottage 18th Century Cottage. Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms.
Over 300 years old, Endways is a delightful cottage nestled in the heart of the old village of Robin Hood's Bay.
For those of you who know Bay, Endways is situated up the steps in front of Berties of Bay, or along Martins Row which runs behind The Laurel pub.
We continue to keep looking at the cottage from a guests perspective and keeping things fresh. We are rather proud about how lovely it is now looking.
The cottage is situated in the heart of the old village which is built into the hill. This means that there are steps to almost all cottages in Lower Bay though they’re generally not too steep. On the ground floor is a lovely lounge which extends into a dining area which comfortably seats six, and a really well appointed kitchen with everything included to make things easy for you - dishwasher, washing machine, ever important wine and champagne glasses, plenty of matching crockery and cutlery, etc. Our latest addition is a Nespresso coffee machine for your daily caffeine fix.
On the first floor are two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a recently renovated bathroom. Up a further flight of stairs and you come to a further luxurious washroom/WC with rainfall shower and also the third bedroom (double).
WiFi is available throughout the cottage.
There is central heating throughout the property, and an endless supply of hot water. All beds are made up with coordinating linens ready for your arrival, and bath and hand towels are included. There is plenty of parking at the top of Bay bank which is free in winter and there is on street parking too. There are EV chargers in the car park opposite The Victoria Hotel. Please do take a look at the photos in our Picture Gallery here.
Many thanks David & Lesley Pearson

Glad you had a good holiday.
A lovely homely cottage which was an excellent place to spend Christmas and very well equipped for cooking Christmas dinner! My family all loved it and we would consider staying again.

This early 18th Century cottage with all modern commodities does not disappoint.
Lovely 300yr old cottage, well maintained, spotlessly clean and cosy, would/will go again. The steep steps up to the cottage from the road were a bit of a surprise, it would be better if mentioned earlier than the last instructions a couple of days before departure,
But of course it's all adds to the historic nature and atmosphere of the area. Beautiful.

Thank you for your lovely comments Sue. We do try really hard to keep the cottage clean and up to date, but in keeping with her age.
Hope you’ll come again despite the climb!
Best regards. Lesley.
Endways Cottage provided the perfect place to get together with family for a fun filled short holiday! A lovely old characterful cottage, set in the amazing treasure trove which is Robin Hoods Bay. With lots to do, we spent time together on walks around the village and surrounding hills or on the beach. Evenings were easily filled with family games, take-away fish and chips or visits to the local pubs and restaurants. We will be returning with family or friends, to our newly discovered ‘little gem’ soon!

Why they chose this property
We’ve been coming to Bay for 50 years. We love the beach, the rock pools are a delight for children and adults alike. There are several pubs serving great food and two fish & chip shops in the village. Bay is on the Cleveland Way and the views and coastal walks are second to none. The Cinder Track from Scarborough to Whitby for walkers and cyclists runs through the top of Bay and is delightful. Walk the track to Whitby for a hot chocolate and cake and catch the bus back. Whitby is a great night out. Lots of great pubs and fish & chip shops as well as the usual British traditional seaside entertainment (see the Dracula experience). As well as coastal walks there are many other inland walks through woods, up hills and down dales. What’s not to like!
What makes this property unique
Endways has been in our family for 25 years. We have lots of great comments from guests saying how well equipped it is as well as comfortable and cosy. It’s a traditional fisherman’s cottage, but we’ve kept it up to date with the modern facilities you would expect.
