About this property

Bryn Goleu - Three Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 6

Bryn Goleu is a cottage found in Rhiw, on the Llŷn Peninsula. A wonderful three-bedroom cottage with a magnificent view of the ocean and a beautiful enclosed garden is located close to popular Llŷn village of Aberdaron. It is perfect for spending time at the beach, going on hikes, biking, and discovering the area. Bryn Goleu is dog-friendly and allows up to 2 well-behaved dogs, and was awarded a 4-star quality grade by Visit Wales.

This cottage has three bedrooms, with one on the first floor a modern double (king-size) with a spacious en-suite bath with underfloor heating. There is also a double bedroom and a twin bedroom which can be accessed through a separate staircase. One of the unique elements of the cottage is the sloping ceilings in these bedrooms, lending to the charm of the period of the original building, though caution is advised due to headroom.

The ground floor is also where you will find the family bathroom with a shower, a washing space, and a separate WC is also located here. There is a modern kitchen-dining area with a wood-burning stove and two living room spaces. One of the living rooms has French doors that open to a terrace with a view of the sea, and the other one has a log fire. The property also has WiFi (with an average download speed of 42Mbps and 18Mbps for uploads).

There is a freezer, a microwave, washing machine-dryer, a dishwasher, three TVs, all of which have Freeview. For your entertainment, no matter which era you call your own, there is something for everyone. There is a video player, DVD player, CD player, an iPod dock, as well as a landline telephone, and a large variety of books and games for your enjoyment.

Bed linen and towels are provided, as well as an initial supply of logs for the log fire. In regards to electricity, the owner does not include electricity in the rental charge, and it is an extra via meter reading payable directly to the owner, but absolutely as per usage at supplier cost price.

This property has a refundable £100 housekeeping bond, which does not form part of the rental cost. This charge will be taken separately after confirmation of your booking, and refunded upon safe return and inspection of the property after checkout.

Rhiw is a small village situated at the southwest tip of the LIyn Peninsula, and lies in a pass between two points, Creigiau Gwineu (242m) and Clip y Gylfinir (270m). The views are stunning whichever way you look, inland and north east towards Snowdonia, where you can even see Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) itself, and all its companions, cast across Hell's Mouth. The popular town of Aberdaron is a few miles away. Aberdaron itself is a wonderful place to visit. It is the land’s end at its most idyllic. This fishing village was once the last stop for pilgrims on the way to Ynys Enlli, the ‘Isle of 20,000 Saints’ - otherwise known as Bardsey Island - which is now a National Nature Reserve renowned internationally for its birdlife and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Aberdaron Beach is a mile long sandy bay at the end of the Llŷn Peninsula and lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Aberdaron has local cafes, restaurants and a sailing club.
