Cobweb Cottage is a quaint and cosy dog-friendly cottage that sleeps up to 4 people in peace and boho luxury. Found in the peaceful village of Waunfawr, the cottage sits just outside the borders of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, and, as the crow flies, is less than seven miles from the summit of Yr Wyddfa - known to many as the highest mountain peak in Wales, Snowdon.
A truly fabulous cottage with bags of charm and character, lovely decor, blended furnishings and subtle touches gives this traditional-style cottage contemporary edges and add a modern twist, with pretty hand-finished details at every turn. Upcycled, painted floorboards and the original inglenook fireplace with modern wood-burner are examples of these exquisite juxtapositions.
There are two bedrooms, both of which have kingsize beds, making it ideal for a couple or small family. The whole cottage set out over a single ground floor setting. Aside from the ridges on the back and front doors, there are no steps or stairs inside the cottage at all. The master bedroom off the main living room has a low-kingsize bed, plenty of clothes storage and comfy chairs, and the second bedroom - found just off the kitchen - is all about the comfort factor.
The kitchen is wonderfully well appointed, with the focal point in the middle the farmhouse-style table. The kitchen-diner is a lovely family area with all the mod cons, ideal for preparing a magnificent breakfast or for planning your grand adventure. The covered deck outside adds a super all-weather space for relaxing and taking in the beautiful scenery. The shower room has a good-sized shower, WC and washbasin.
Facilities include washer-dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, two TVs, and garden furniture. WiFi is installed throughout, and bed linen and towels are supplied Offroad parking for one car, and one well behaved dog is welcome at no additional cost.
Waunfawr sits just outside the Snowdonia National Park. The village is staggeringly close to the summit of Snowdon and less than four miles from the impressive Caernarfon Castle in the Royal Town of Caernarfon on the edge of the Menai Straits, which separates the Isle of Anglesey from the mainland. The Welsh Highland Railway (a narrow gauge steam railway) runs from Caernarfon through Waunfawr, stopping at the southern end of the village.
