Welcome to Grandma's House! I'd love to host your family&friends! 2 night min!

Enjoy over 2,018 sq ft of living space with a very large front screened sitting porch, large rooms, high ceilings and beautiful woodwork. Spacious and open. Escape your busy life and unwind at Grandma's house in the quiet and quaint historic town of Dixon, IL! A piano is in the home as well as wifi, cabl tv, dvd players, cards, games, DVDs and books. Fishing and boat enthusiasts can take a short 3-block stroll to behold the breathtaking views of the Rock River dam and waterfront. Located only 0.8 miles away is our adorable downtown where you can explore quality retail shops, a charming bookstore, bakeries, a fine art gallery, wine shop, multiple fine dining restaurants and Heritage Crossing on the Riverfront. Grandmas is within three blocks of a grocery store, drug store, city park, the YMCA, many restaurants, a liquor store and a short walk to Dixons bike and hiking path which leads to beautiful Lowell Park.... The home has 3 bedrooms, two queen beds, one full bed, two pull out queen couch beds, one couch, a queen blow up mattress, one twin blow up mattress, a pack and play and crib is available. Also, I will allow therapy dogs with an additional deposit.

Felt like home

The home was amazing. We thought it was well worth the price. Located in a good area of town and close to everything we wanted to do. Really like staying at grandma's house. Will definitely stay here next time we are in town.

Nice Spot

House was as advertised, very clean and in good shape for being an old house. Loved the screened in porch and short walk to the riverfront and downtown. Would happily stay again if we are back in Dixon.

Wonderful nostalgia at grandmas house. Very comfortable and brings back all the memories of growing up and visiting your Grandma! As former Dixonites, we have stayed several times and have always enjoyed the hospitality of the host!

I was able to get my daughters, one in MN and one in MI together with all 5 of my grandkids. We met half way and had a wonderful time. Very relaxing and homey. I would recommend this as a great place to stay...

Grandmas house was just lovely. It had plenty of room for everyone. The enclosed porch was so great. We were able to have the kids play there without having to worry. It was also walking distance to everything. I would highly recommend staying here .

Great Stay!

My daughter, 3 grandkids & I came for my class reunion and to visit family. The house was in a good neighborhood and very clean. It had a very homey atmosphere- just like Grandma's house should. There was plenty of room, dishes and pots & pans for us to make a family dinner for us and 5 of my nieces and nephews. It was perfect for our family gathering. The host was prompt to respond to any messages we sent.

I would recommend Grandma’s house to anyone. It was neat and clean and have everything you could possibly ever need. Judi was a great hostess. She gave us a number where we could reach her anytime. Also stocked many breakfast items and condiments in refrigerator for us to use. All in all a most pleasant experience.

Amazing and comfortable

Judi is the best host I have ever had. I have never had a host ever leave you a few basic food items. It feels just like being in a loving home. Our trip was solely for the purpose of visiting my dad who was a resident in the Rockfalls nursing home. This gave us a perfect place to bring him for a family gathering rather than a hotel. I hope to continue to work with Judi for our visits to my dad.

The owner couldn’t have been more helpful! We lost power because of a storm and she checked on us right away to inform us of estimated repair time. Also that she could run over a power source if we needed it. Well stocked rental!

Had a great time at Grandma's house!

The house was perfect. We met for a sister's crafting trip and loved the house. The extras the host provides were so thoughtful and added so much. The layout and space in the house were also perfect for us - we especially liked the large dining room table. We found ourselves looking at many of the things in the house and enjoying the history and uniqueness of the house. The neighborhood is also very nice and we loved the old homes. Such a cute area! Thanks much. Hope to come back again as it is a great meeting place for us.

Relaxing family stay

We were looking for a destination that offer canoeing, biking and hiking activities. Dixon has all of it and more. We had a lovely stay at Grandma house. The house is well equipped for a comfortable stay. Special mention for the piano that my son enjoyed playing a lot. We did not meet Judith, but she was such welcoming and responsive. She is a great host. She provides great recommendations for activities and tips overall. She was really nice to find some bikes that we can use for our stay. Definitely I highly recommend to book Grandma house for a nice relaxing stay!

It really was Grandmas House.

We had to make a last-minute trip to the area and we’re so happy to find grandmas house. The first thing, my husband said when he walked in the front door was this feels like my grandma and grandpa‘s house. We were in town for his grandmother’s funeral, and to visit family. The location was perfect. The house had absolutely everything that we needed and Judith couldn’t have been kinder. We were able to stay a little bit longer after check out, and that gave us the chance to visit with our granddaughters and daughter. We can’t say thank you enough for accommodating us.

Perfect for us place

My cousins are all originally from the area and now all live out of state. This place was perfect for our family. It was spacious. Perfect for hanging out and playing games together. The kids ages 4 and 6 were entertained with all the toys. We will definitely book again!

Simply wonderful

We spent 5 wonderful days days at Grandmas house. During our visit several family members stopped by for a visit and all agreed that the home was lovely. We were happy to find the home stocked with food items, bottled water and toiletries. The beds, linens, and furniture was extremely comfortable and the home is large enough to host many guest. We will return on future visits to the Dixon area. By the way checking in and out was super easy!

Comfortable and cozy home

The house was comfortable and loaded with many extra little touches like a wide selection of coffee, tea and hot chocolate plus shampoos, conditioners and body lotion products. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the fans!

Hi, my name is Judi and I'm excited about hosting. My parents bought this home in 1968, I was in 8th grade. Dixon born and raised I love Dixon, IL. I am married to Denny, we have four married daughters, nine grandchildren, three furry kids (dogs), and two feathered friends.

Why they chose this property

Ideal location, you can walk everywhere. Friendly, safe and within walking distance to the grocery store, park, pharmacy, YMCA, churches, numerous restaurants, pubs and the beautiful River Front. For runners, walkers and cyclists it's a half mile to the Dixon Bike path which goes miles to and through beautiful Lowell Park.

What makes this property unique

Grandmas house is a comfortable and relaxing home. Conveniently and centrally located to everything in Dixon. A great place to unwind and relax. It's the perfect home for hosting an event such as a wedding, baby shower, luncheon, meetings, girls or guys weekend. The home is clean, spacious and well laid out. The screened front porch is a favorite place to hang out for everyone.
