The apartment is situated along a narrow, medieval street that is dotted with shops and buttressed by restaurants on adjacent blocks. It is very walkable from many lovely sights in Florence. The voices of the passers-by down below echo through the open windows in the evening, which was louder on weekend nights than weekday nights, and we found charming. We never heard a peep from any of the other residents of the apartment complex. Over all, delightful.

Thank you for your lovely review. We’re glad you enjoyed the charming atmosphere, the central location, and the peacefulness of the apartment itself. We hope to welcome you again on your next visit to Florence!
Stayed here for a few days and place was in a great location and was very clean. Place had a washer which was nice to be able to do laundry. I would recommend maybe getting some new pillows for the pull out couch to sleep on, they were pretty flat.

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the location and found the apartment clean and convenient. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Florence!
Apartment was clean, cool & spacious. Well situated. Would have been nice if simple provisions were provided like salt, pepper, water, oil and also a tea towel would’ve been helpful.
On the calm side of the river, but close to everything! We had a missing adapter to use the espresso machine and they delivered it without a problem. Watch the bottom step leaving the bathroom in the night.

Thank you for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed the calm side of the river and found the location convenient for exploring everything Florence has to offer. We’d love to host you again in the future!
Very easy check-in, communicative even when our train was an hour late! Was in a great area, about 10 minutes walking from downtown. Walkable to the train station as well! Provided linens and sheets, great AC and a TV! Check-out was super easy, just leaving the keys and locking the doors! They even helped to tell us where to store our luggage before our train in the afternoon! Would recommend!!

The apartment was reasonably clean and comfortable although there was a constant smell that bothered us. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone with mobility issues, getting to the other side of the bedroom and the bathroom would be difficult. The biggest issue we had were the live bees in the shower. We would kill about 15 every morning before showering and they were back in the evening. We contacted the host but it wasn't resolved. The kitchen is not equipped to function (no knives, kitchen towels, paper towels, sponges, etc.) We didn't receive instructions on where to dispose of the trash so we placed it in bags and left it neatly in the kitchen. The area is very busy so there is constant street noise from below but it subsided by 11pm.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the apartment reasonably clean and comfortable, but we sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced. The bees in the shower, limited kitchen supplies, lack of trash instructions, and accessibility challenges are certainly not acceptable, and we’ll address these concerns with our team immediately. Your detailed comments are very helpful, and we truly value you taking the time to share them.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
My stay at the Mmega Suites (San Niccolò 87, Florence) was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had using Vrbo. From the first day, bees were constantly flying into the bathroom even though the window was closed. I killed several bees myself, and there were already dead ones when we arrived. Every morning there were dead bees in our bathroom and throughout the day. When I reached out to the management (Mmega Homes & Villas), the communication was chaotic and uncoordinated. I contacted them early in the afternoon, sent photos, and was told a maintenance man would come “as soon as possible.” Hours passed with no update. Later that night, I reached out to their Nighttime support and I had to explain the entire situation again. Their support teams do not communicate. By the next morning, I had to repeat the entire situation for a third time to a new representative who claimed the previous messages were “lost.” Even after being told a maintenance person had already come and fixed it, there were still bees in the bathroom. This experience was unacceptable. Not only because of the hygiene and safety issue, but because of the complete lack of coordination and care from the property managers. Guests shouldn’t have to repeatedly chase staff to resolve something like this, especially when it directly affects comfort and safety. On top of everything, the floor of the apartment was not mopped before our arrival. Our feet turned black if we didn't wear socks or shoes.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We are very sorry for the issues you experienced, particularly the presence of bees, the cleanliness concerns, and the poor coordination in our communication. This is not the standard we strive to provide, and we understand how upsetting this situation was.
We regret that you had to repeat the issue multiple times and that it was not resolved promptly. Your comments have been shared with our maintenance and support teams, and we are reviewing our internal communication and cleaning procedures to ensure this does not happen again. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention.
