set on an island, linked to the mainland by a causeway, the house has stunning views, a private slipway and strand amidst wonderful unspoilt land with windflowers and wildlife to explore.
The forty foot kitchen has a table which seats fourteen and stunning views. It is exceptionally well equipped with a range cooker, two dishwashers and an American style fridge. The house, built in 2015 is Passive standard house with underfloor heating and is beautifully decorated and furnished by its interior designer owner. It was designed to take advantage of the incredible views with the sea birds, seals and otters adding to the natural beauty of this incredibly tranquil island setting in Roaring Water Bay.
There are fabulous places to eat locally with a michelin starred restaurant ten minutes away by car in Baltimore and a second Michelin starred restaurant within thirty minutes drive in Ballydehob. There are many other excellent pubs, restaurants and Cafes close by in Baltimore and Skibbereen. Baltimore is a haven for boating and popular with sailors and fisherman and island hoppers alike. With our own private slipway and mooring you can reach your boat without leaving the property.
For those with Irish ancestry or an interest in History, there are castles to visit, as well as Stone circles and other historic remains. Skibbereen has a very informative Famine Museum and an active Arts Centre and there are literary and Chamber Music festivals nearby in Bantry.
Our main house sleeps ten and the price quoted is for the main house only. The studio which is a separate building has accommodation for a further two people and is available for bookings a minimum of a week at an additional €300 pw.
