On the River in Wandsworth

This was our second stay here. We needed to be near the Royal Academy of Dance Headquarters near Wandsworth & Battersea. This location is the best! Right on the Thames River with a beautiful view of Wandsworth Bridge. Our walks along the River to get to our destinations were lovely. Public transportation via bus or train were a 4-9 minute walk from the flat. The 2-story apartment is fantastic. We prepared many meals in the well-appointed kitchen. The nearby restaurants were excellent. Our favorite spots were O Gourmet Libonais (the best food!), Caserta (an Italian Cafe with amazing pastries, coffees, sandwiches & pastas, and also nice uncooked gluten-free pastas, sauces, and sausages that you can take home to prepare yourself), The Ship (burgers and a popular pub), Viet Town (wonderful pho; even have gluten-free tempora squid), Hotaru (Japanese restaurant with sushi & incredible BBQ short ribs made with chocolate & coffee). Staying here made our London visits incredible! We love the host too!

Astonishing value

my wife and i were going to stay in a tiny box in chelsea then my sister and her hubby said they were joining us so we needed something larger. almost for the same price we discovered anthony's apartment. 5 min walk from bus or wandsworth station which by the way have some fascinating restaurants on that tube street. we ate the best sunday roast dineer at the alma, and exceptional meals at konnigans and megan's. even closer is the ship which had great pub style food. anthonys place as the pictures suggest is right on the thames. from the upstairs bedroom you have a great view of the river and at night the fireworks from the other side of the river. from the main floor bedroom, being ground level, not so great. also, hudsons, a 7-11 type store, is open til 11pm and has a decent wine selection along with snacks and accessory food items. we took the uber boat, an 8 min walk away which afforded us a great self guided tour of the good life on the thames, the london eye & bridge included. we are from canada and if we ever return to london, we will stay here if its available

Right on the river

Overall a nice place, two full bathrooms, plenty of space for our family of four. The upstairs bedroom was big and comfortable, the downstairs one was smaller. The kitchen was generally well equipped with the exception of the microwave not working (but per the listing is not included). This was a 4.5 out of 5 for us. Overall very nice and also mostly clean. The only draw backs that took away from a 5 star listing was the downstairs bedroom felt damp due to the summer humidity, and on Saturday night there are party boats going up and down the river until late at night which kept us up (granted not a properly fault itself, but took away from our stay).

Hervorragende Unterkunft mit direktem Blick auf die Themse

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in Anthonys Apartment. Kommunikation und Kontakt zum Vermieter waren spitze, sofortige Reaktion auf Fragen/Mails, persönliches Treffen zum Check-In. Unterkunft ist super geräumig und sehr gut und komfortabel eingerichtet. Lage ist genial - direkt an der Themse, ruhig ohne Autoverkehr (nur ein Gehweg bis zum Ufer, direkter Blick von der oberen Ebene auf den Fluss). Bilder/Beschreibung passen exakt zur Realität. Bis zur Innenstadt ca. 30 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad fast immer am Fluss entlang. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis super. Wenn wir wieder in London sind, buchen wir sehr gern wieder bei Anthony. Vielen Dank, Familie Schmalz

Leider nicht genug Platz für die gesamte Bewertung

Anthony war freundlich als er uns in die Wohnung lies. Ich hätte gerne eine Ausführliche Bewertung geschrieben, geht leider nicht. Das Haus wirkt als wenn der Gastgeber jederzeit reinkommen könnte den sehr viel von seinen Privatsachen sowie des seines Sohnes ist im Haus verteilt. Schränke sind überwiegend zugeklebt sodass man keine Möglichkeit hat auszupacken. Das heißt leben aus dem Koffer. Badewanne war nicht nutzbar da keine Stöpsel. Wahrscheinlich kommen daher die Flecke in der Küche an der Decke. Die Küche war unsauber und nicht gut sortiert. Die Badezimmer waren von der Sauberkeit O.K. Mich persönlich hat es gestört an einem Billiardtisch zu essen. Die Umgebung lädt nicht zum erholen ein denn vor einem ist eine Baustelle und drum rum Industrie. Alles in allem ein Objekt was nicht gut gepflegt ist.

Nice view but unclean and partially owner occupied

Kitchen cupboards and drawers were in disarray and unclean so we didn't have a single meal there. Was sharing this with a cousin. We each had our own bed/bath. Following comments are for the upstairs suite. Dust collection behind the headboard upstairs was awful! Closets were unusable since host had his stuff in there. Couple of dresser drawers and bath vanity drawer were taped shut as his items were stuffed in there. The view of the Thames was nice - the smell not so much

Excellent, Safe, Beautiful London Location

We loved staying at the Riverside Apartment. The host was very helpful and kind. The apartment is truly beautiful. The location on the River Thames is awesome! Lovely pedestrian riverwalk. Quiet and safe neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks for the great stay!

Amazing location next to thames

Excellent communication with the landlord who met us to show us the way. The duplex apartment is absolutely stunning, spacious and had everything you'll need. Located right on the Thames, you can spend hours just watching the boats go by. Peaceful pedestrianised street. Very close to the station, easy travel into central London in under 20 minutes, but has lovely bars, shops and restaurants close by. Would definitely stay again.
