About this property

A charming cottage boasting character and charm with many period features.

The interior of Corner Thatch oozes character and charm with many period features including exposed timber work, leaded windows, slate-tiled floors and a brick fireplace with bread oven set above the atmospheric wood burning stove effect electric fire. Also conveniently located on the ground floor is a twin bedroom with an en-suite wet room.

The charming galley kitchen boasts a Belfast sink and is well-equipped for preparing delicious meals sourced from the array of fabulous local farm shops in the area including award winning Hillers, just three miles away providing Ragley Meats, a superb fish monger, gift shop and fabulous cafe/restaurant. The dining area is partially opened to the kitchen with more beautiful beam work and is a lovely spot to enjoy your self-catered meals. Upstairs, the main bedroom boasts a comfortable king-size bed that sits snuggly within the eaves and has its own spacious en-suite bathroom.

Outside is a pretty, south-facing garden with paved patio area, garden furniture and steps up to the lawn, which is the perfect spot for outdoor dining.

This beautiful ‘chocolate box' thatched cottage dates back to the 17th century and was once the village post office. A remnant of those days is the red post box adorning the front of the property. Corner Thatch is situated in the idyllic village of Abbotts Morton where many of the buildings retain the ‘black and white' half-timbered charm.

The nearby villages of Inkberrow, Flyford Flavell and Radford offer an excellent range of pubs and village stores and this beautiful cottage is also in easy driving distance of both the Cotswolds and Warwickshire borders, including Stratford-upon-Avon, just a 25 minute drive away. The surrounding countryside provides numerous walks over footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes though scenic fields, woodlands and the Piddle Brook watercourse.
