Great little place to stay! Cute mid-century vibe. Right between SoHa and Saugatuck so location gives you the best of both worlds! Would stay here again!

This was our second time staying at this apartment. It's a great location and plenty of room for two adults and our large pup. Will definitely stay again!

We had the best stay! Terry was super responsive and made himself available if we had any questions. The space was the perfect size for me, my husband, and our pup. Loved all the mid century modern touches.
The location was so great for visiting Saugatuck/Douglas and area parks and wineries. Would for sure stay again!

Angela,
I am very glad your retreat worked out! Best of luck moving forward.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Our apartment was exactly as pictured. Very clean and had everyting we needed. Being dog friendly was a big bonus and the property was very nice. We would definitely recommend to anyone.
Terry was a great host and his place was very clean, cozy and comfortable. It’s only a 12 minute drive to the restaurants and shops of downtown Saugatuck. We would definitely stay at Terry’s place again. Peter & Judy

Hi Peter and Judy,
Thank you for the review. I hope all is well in your world.
I chose this listing because of the location and affordability. Everything was clean and comfortable. The owner made us feel welcome. The location is perfect, in between all the small cute towns while also about an hour from Grand rapids for shopping. I will book again! Thanks Terry!
I stayed at Terry's place with my sister and we had a great time! It was a very snowy weekend and we took full advantage of having a kitchen to cook in. I also loved being able to bring my dog along. The location is perfectly situated in between South Haven and Saugatuck, but definitely off the beaten path. I wish the weather was nicer and we could have explored more, but the cabin was comfortable and warm. We would love to stay here again!
The place was nice and convenient for what we wanted to do in the surrounding areas for vacation. My only issue was certain areas could have been cleaner. Otherwise the place was nice.

Julia,
I appreciate the feedback. My goal is to provide a clean environment at a great price.
We stayed here for the holidays last year when the blizzard came through. The temperatures this year were up in the 40s, but it still felt cozy and festive in apartment F. We went for hikes at Saugatuck State Park, watched xmas movies on cable and cooked an impressive amount of food in the small but well-equipped kitchen. The bakery out by the road has excellent food; I recommend the motherclucker breakfast sandwhich and the iced pecan coffee cake. We love this spot and hope to be back next year!
If you are looking for seclusion at an excellent price this is the place to be It is quiet and away from the hectic pace of urban living. It is equipped with all the basic things needed for you to unwind. Terry the owner is quick to respond when you contact him and yet respects your privacy as well. Wish more landlords / rental owners were like him. This is my second month long stay I have had here and am already looking forward to returning again in the future

Nice and quiet
This is a nicely remodeled, very affordable property that has a lot to offer. It’s close to the lake, close to Holland, and not too far from Grand Rapids. The property itself is definitely not “upscale” as it’s old and not glamorous at all. However, it’s clean, the Fujitsu heat pump in the rooms works well, there’s a full size refrigerator and stove, good water pressure and plenty of hot water., dish network, and decent WiFi. I slept well in the bed, no complaints. If I were to make a recommendation it would be to have more/heavier towels. However, at this price point I can bring my own towel! I give it 5 stars due to the quality:value ratio.

Robert, thank you for the review. The information that you pointed out will be helpful for future visitors. The building is from the 50's, however, I have done much renovating to the apartments. My next project is to get heavier towels. Cheers.
Terry does an excellent job with overall cleanliness inside the units. He keeps up with home and furniture improvements as needed. The units are adequately stocked and comfortable for an extended stay location Truly worth the charge.
However, as my third five week stay, I had to deal with the constant running of bathroom fan in next unit forcing me to sleep most nights on sofa. Units are marked non-smoking; I have a formaldehyde allergy; but there was just enough smoke creeping in via the fan vent to give me dry scratchy eyes and eventually forced me to take anti-histamines. I could not run my fan simultaneously because of level of sound when both fans were on. When left on for extended periods of time a hum would develop from within the wall. Would recommend total separation of units/ fan vents to protect future renters having to deal with errant smoke issues
We came to town to celebrate our anniversary and were looking for something near the beaches. It was a lovely place with all the amenities you could need for a week.
Place was very nice, would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap place to stay

Why they chose this property
This property needed a lot of work. As a general contractor I saw the potential this property could have with some labor of love.
What makes this property unique
This property has a rural setting and close proximity to all the outdoor activities Michigan has to offer.
