The home was so beautiful and the owner was very easygoing and good to work with. We highly enjoyed our stay and were super grateful for such a great place to spend the night.
This is a perfect place to stay while in Fort Collins. Our family enjoyed the space for a family gathering before and after a wedding. We especially appreciated the fire pit the last evening.
.
Exactly as advertised. Very clean, beautiful porch with excellent view, lots of space, quiet neighborhood close to the university. We were in town for a family wedding and we’re no more than 10 minutes from all the venues.
It was beautiful and perfect. We rented it for a small family wedding and I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out my husband and I had a wonderful time and it was so so beautiful!!
Sharon, our host, was wonderful. She was very prompt with responses. You could tell she wanted our stay to be terrific. The house was ideal for the needs of our family. We had four adults and two children (4 years and 6 months). There was a pack and play and numerous toys and books for children. The kitchen was fully stocked with all one could need. The entire house was very clean. We enjoyed the front porch for family visiting. We would stay there again when visiting our family in Fort Collins.
We stayed here for a family wedding so the location was perfect. Spacious enough for 7 adults and enjoyed the front porch area. It had everything that we needed and more!! Super clean!
We needed a great place to stay for our daughter's graduation weekend. Everything was just as advertised, and the place felt just like home. I can't think of one thing I would have changed. She even gave us graduation signs for the front yard.
We loved our stay at this house! The hosts were very accommodating and answered any question we had. The house was very well equipped and the kitchen has everything you need! There’s even a basket of snacks and coffee and tea!
Very comfortable beds, well supplied kitchen,
Even our dogs loved the yard!
Nice accessible laundry room.
Our children were asking if the would be a HOT TUB? But once we got there it all went well and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Sharon! You’re the best.
God bless.
LOVED this house!! Here are the highlights of our stay: having our morning coffee on the front deck, spacious, comfy bedrooms, multiple areas for different groups to hang out, spic and span cleanliness, and the overall charm of the property. I was there with my husband, our grown daughter and her husband and our two older teens. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Great place for large group. Kitchen has everything for all your cooking needs from pots and pans to slow cooker and electric griddle. In town for family wedding it was close to the venue and shopping. With the home being a ranch it was very conducive for my mother who uses a walker to get around.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ft Collins. The house is perfect for families especially people traveling with pets. There is a fenced in yard to the side and the front yard has a nice garden. The house is spacious and well furnished. It is about a 10 minute drive to Old Town and a 15 to 20 minute drive to great trails.
Everything about our stay was perfect. The house was wonderful. Sharon was great with communication. She made us feel so very welcome! From booking to the texts as I was leaving. My family and some friends were meeting to celebrate my daughters graduation from CSU. Sharon was open to me having a BBQ with family and friends above the 6 ppl I was booking for. It turned out we only had 9 for the BBQ and only 6 of us ever slept there but it was great to know that she allowed gatherings. (I'm guessing she wouldn't allow crazy parties but that's not our jam anyway.)
When we arrived Sharon had a bunch of Happy Graduation yard signs for us to use. (Crazy thoughtful right?!?!) The side yard with the fire pit was wonderful. We only used it once but it was delightful.
Also, if you have a dog, don't be swayed by the "no pets" in the description, if you look a bit you will see she has a policy that involves permission and a pet fee. YAY! She was open to our dog (and I'm guessing yours) as long as we followed some basic rules. No dogs on the beds or furniture without using sheets and blankets she provides (our dog isn't allowed on furniture but how sweet is it that she has the place prepped for owners who do allow it?)
The basics are all there, you may need condiments etc but the kitchen is well organized and there are lots of unexpected nice touches. There are a ton of board games and a jigsaw puzzle. There is also enough room to travel with a group and not get sick of each other. Sharon missed her calling she would be an excellent hotel owner!
One tip for visitors, It took me a minute to find the yard, It's on the side of the driveway away from the house that looks like it would be the fence to the neighboring property. It's not, its a great big welcoming yard.
I highly recommend this property. The only downside of my daughter graduating is now I will have fewer opportunities to rent this house from this delightful host.
This was our base of operations while we were in town for our son's wedding. Conveniently located between in-town necessities and the wedding venue. Dog-friendly.

About the host
Hosted by Sharon
I am a semi-rare native Coloradoan. I grew up in a small town on the plains and moved to Fort Collins when I attended CSU and have been in Fort Collins ever since. I love everything about Fort Collins, the weather, a vibrant downtown, sense of community and all the outdoor activities that are available here or nearby.
Why they chose this property
My husband and I purchased this property in 1990 as a fixer-upper. It was a real mess when we first moved in! My husband is in construction and has done all the remodel and addition work on the home. The original house was built in 1948 and was a one bedroom farmhouse. When we moved in, someone had added on two more bedrooms. The wood floor in the dining/family room is original. We added on to the house in 1993. It has been a work in progress ever since! We raised our 5 children in this home and two of them were actually born at home!
What makes this property unique
We love the country feel of our home. The neighbor across the street has two horses that graze in the field and occasionally there are also some deer. Three of our five children went to CSU and were able to live at home and ride their bikes to school. We have also hosted several international students while they were at CSU which we thoroughly enjoyed.
