We really enjoyed everything about our stay at the Cow’s House. It has just about everything you’d need while on your trip. It’s very quiet in the area with just beautiful surroundings. It was super easy to find, and a great starting location to venture out into the west of Ireland.
Perfect location to explore Connemara and a lovely property, beautifully renovated for a most comfortable stay. Lovely hosts with great suggestions and a playful dog to make us feel at home. We particularly loved fly fishing at Ballynahinch Castle (Hugh as our guide), exploring the Killary fjord area (scenic cruise was nice) and Kylemore Abbey, the ferry to Aran islands. The seafood at O’Grady’s was delicious yet also try the beef and lamb in this region…outstanding!! We got groceries at the Costcutters to cook our own amazing steak burgers. We came here after Dingle; loved both but particularly the rugged beauty of the Connemara.
This place was amazing. Perfect location for daily excursions. The cottage itself was wonderful!!!! Great open concept with large showers and water pressure. The beds were comfortable. The hostess was informative and made our stay more amazing with lemon cake. We will highly recommend this location.
So pleased to have found this place in a beautiful area of Ireland. It was a very peaceful location and perfect for exploring the local area. We used the owner recommendations for food and places to visit and were never disappointed.
Perfect spot for a quiet getaway. The property was beautifully designed and very well kept. It had great amnesties that allowed us to dine in and enjoy the wood burning stove. A short walk to the beach was also a bonus. We would definitely stay again
My husband and I and 2 friends had a lovely stay at Inverin. It was a bit remote for easy driving to scenic sites and the weather did not permit for beach going, but the cottage was cozy, warm and clean.

We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay in our cottage and found it was cosy, warm and clean. We are sorry you were disappointed with the weather and our location but we have found that most of our guests like being rural and within easy reach of Galway, Connemara and the Burren for days out and we would hope that our location is obvious from our description. We are in South Connemara only 2 miles to the Aran Islands Ferry but other places are a distance. We look forward to welcoming you back.
Don’t pass up on the chance to stay here. It has all the comforts or home and is amazingly situated within a stunning location. Janet and Michael are great hosts and are very helpful and responsive to any questions about the property and area.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We love it when our guests book a longer stay and spend their days experiencing South Connemara and beyond. Lazy days, long evenings and less rushing around.
Very clean, beautifully remodeled, comfortable home. The owners are fabulous, the location quiet, with short walk to coast. Sweet border collie! Highly recommend!
Our stay was everything we could have wanted. We felt immediately at home in the cottage. The location made it easy for us to take day trips to Galway and Kylemore Abbey, but simply driving through the glorious Connemara countryside was the highlight of our days.
Top quality accommodation in an ideal, quiet location. Spotlessly clean and wonderfully spacious, this house exceeded our expectations! Communication with Janet was perfect, and she was available if we had any queries. Highly recommended!
Stayed for six days in this beautiful property, check in was simple thanks to easy communication with Janet.
Stunning scenery close by, hire a car and go out and explore.
Highly recommended
