Overview:
A modern and luxurious 4-bedroom holiday home located just a short drive from the villages of Oughterard and Moycullen, and just a 20-minute drive from Galway City. The property is in excellent condition throughout and has been built and finished to a very high standard. The cottage once was one of original 18 railway gatekeeper cottages built along the Galway to Clifden railway that operated between 1895-1935. Only a few still remain today. The Oughterard area is considered to be the fishing capital of Ireland. Lough Corrib has an international reputation for its fine brown trout. Trout fishing usually commences in mid-May during the Mayfly season. The village provides lots of places to eat and drink and has an abundance of shops which will supply you with everything you need for your self-catering holiday. Local activities include fishing, hill walking, Brigit's Garden, pony trekking, golf, mountain bike trail, boating and much more. Available for short breaks.

4 Bedrooms - Sleeps 10. Bedroom 1 is king room with ensuite bathroom and includes wardrobe, lockers and lamps. Bedroom 2 is a king room with wardrobe, bedside lockers and lamps. Bedroom 3 and 4 are bunk rooms with a double and single bunk and bedside locker. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker and oven, American style fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, and there is a dining area with table and chairs for 10 persons. The living room offers a TV and comfortable furnishings. There is a second sitting room full of railway memorabilia with wood burning stove and large flatscreen TV. The utility room houses the washing machine and dryer. The family bathroom includes shower, WC and hand basin. A hair dryer is provided. There is a patio area with garden furniture and BBQ as well as an elevated outdoor firepit where you can view the Connemara scenery in the evening. The garden is gated and fully enclosed. Wi-fi. Sky TV. Cot available. Linens and towels supplied. Ample Parking. Electricity & heating included in rental price. Pets welcome. No smoking in the house
