The house is best entered from the rear, the slate floors add that authentic character touch. We stayed for 4 nights at railway cottage and found it comfortable, very nicely furnished and well equipped. It is 15/20 minutes away from several classic Cornish harbour villages and headlands and close to the A39 for longer trips eg Padstow 40mins. The road has some traffic but it's very quiet at night and the views across the valley are lovely. The only improvement would be if the water pressure could be a tad better for the showers but they work and it's all I could think of!

Came here for a four night break and was so impressed by the cottage.

Came here for a four night break and was so impressed by the cottage. In terms of location it is roughly between Camelford and Tintagel, so ideal for exploring North Cornwall, but equally not at all far from the A39 to go further south. The cottage itself is gorgeous. Three good bedrooms, three toilets and two bathrooms and fabulous living spaces. As a disabled person I found the downstairs bedroom and ensuite spot on for my mobility issues. The en-suite is perfect for anyone with a disability (even the toilet is raised higher). The shower was accessible and easy to work. The living spaces are comfortable and warm, the little tv room is so cute and you get a sense of the age and character of the whole cottage.A lovely welcome email from Carrie helped us every day to check places; beaches, pubs etc, and we received shortbread, wine and milk when we arrived - who needs more?!Incredibly well equipped throughout, the kitchen was great and the utility room had just what we needed.Didn’t use the garden as it rained the whole four days but it is a gorgeous tiered space which will be wonderful in the summer.Highly recommend Railway Cottqge!(Note; it is on a ‘main road’ but not a particularly busy one and we had zero issues with noise).
