Wanted a warm, cozy, comfortable space for a girls’ Galena trip, and this was it! A beautiful historic home, with all of the comforts necessary for a great stay. Fully stocked kitchen, with very thoughtful touches, such as coffee, local dinner menus and even fresh flowers. 3 bathrooms with all of the towels and paper products needed. Beds were very comfortable. Home has so much character and charm and right downtown Galena, too. We have already booked for next year! Thank you Mary and Merle!

Had an amazing stay for my bachelorette girls’ weekend. The house was even cuter than it looks in the pictures and the location was absolutely perfect. I’m so glad I found this listing.

This place proved to be an excellent lodging for a family gathering of six--four adults and two teenagers. Great location on a fairly quiet street in downtown Galena, enabling walking to many places of interest. Off-street parking for two vehicles was nice. The full kitchen was well-furnished with all the basics, making it easy to prepare some of our meals at the house. The numerous bedrooms on floors 2 and 3 had comfortable beds and gave our group plenty of space. We would welcome an occasion to stay there again.

Our family of six plus a set of grandparents spent NYE at the Rowhouse. It was an amazing time - the location is perfect, walkable to everything, even in the winter. The house is really neat, feels like you're in a different era just like the rest of Galena. We would definitely stay there again. The house sleeps 10 easily and the view overlooking the river/train/town was awesome. Thank you!
