The Neighborhood:

Miraflores in Mijas Costa is a quiet, well-established residential neighbourhood on the Costa del Sol, located between La Cala de Mijas and Riviera del Sol, about 15 minutes from Fuengirola and 25–30 minutes from Marbella. It is known for its peaceful atmosphere, greenery, and low-rise Mediterranean-style buildings rather than high-density tourism development.



The area is especially popular with international residents, including British, Scandinavian, and other Northern European homeowners, so English is widely spoken alongside Spanish. It has a relaxed, residential feel year-round, although it becomes livelier in summer when holidaymakers arrive. Compared to busier coastal towns, Miraflores feels more private and calm.



One of the main features of the neighbourhood is Miraflores Golf, which adds open green space and a sense of spaciousness to the surroundings. There are also tennis and paddle courts, community pools, and walking areas. While it is not a commercial centre, there are small shopping areas nearby with restaurants, cafés, a supermarket, and essential services. The beach is only a few minutes away by car and reachable on foot from some parts of the urbanisation, although the terrain is slightly hilly.

Parking is usually available along the street and within the urbanization.



Taxis and ride-shares (Uber/Bolt/local taxis) are common on the Costa del Sol and can pick you up from Fuengirola, Marbella, Málaga Airport, etc.
