4 Bedroom Oceanville Home w/ Breathtaking Views- Steps from Ocean

Does the vacation you are envisioning include waking up to breathtaking views of schooners passing by as you sip your hot morning coffee? Or perhaps enjoying a glass of wine after a long day of exploring everything the coast of Maine has to offer? Or maybe you are just looking to escape the busy, fast paced reality of your life so you can experience "The Way Life Should Be?" If you answered yes to any of these questions, then we would love to welcome you to enjoy our beautiful home overlooking the Penobscot Bay Thoroughfare. Our wonderful family home boasts a PRIME oceanfront setting. overlooking the Deer Isle Thoroughfare, multiple islands, including Sheep and Saddleback Island, as well as many other nearby islands. It has a diverse shoreline with both rocky frontage and beach area, as well as trails through the 100 acres of woods the property sits on. The interior of the house has an open floor plan with lots of sun spilling in through the panoramic shore facing windows. Enjoy sweeping ocean views from the open living room, dining area, and kitchen, along with master bedroom. There are four total bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, 2 with built in twin bunks (each sleep 2) - lower bed suitable for children, top bunk has no railing). There are 3 baths and washer and dryer. Step back outside to the wrap around deck, with its gorgeous views over the water and out to the surrounding islands. The Main House is but a stones throw from hundreds of feet of gorgeous shore front comprised of large granite boulders, tidal pools, pebbled beach, sandy beaches, and dock.

We also have another property available for rentals located just up the trail (3 minute walk!), sleeps 4 and also has gorgeous ocean views. The listing # is 1434578. Great to rent both properties together if you have a large group of friends or family!

Relaxation
It was perfect. Exactly what we needed. Anything you could possibly need while on vacation was provided... barring food and drink, of course. The beach, the views, the seals, the eagles, the firewood, the maps of all the local walks/hikes, everything was perfect. I spent a whole afternoon on the deck, watching the Bald Eagles and seals, and listening to the Loons calling. It was blissful. Extremely relaxing

Definitely A Favorite
We had an incredible stay here at Stonington. The views are spectacular! It's not too often that you get to watch a sunrise and sunset in the same spot on the same day. The house itself is amazing - family history is all around. The pictures windows (yes, there are 4 in a row!) let you see everything effortlessly. We had breakfast on the porch every day - even in the drizzle. The property goes on and on and there are multiple opportunities for hikes everywhere. Orange Squeez (sic) Overlook is not to be missed! Down the road a bit is Settlement Quarry - also very cool. Lastly, Jessica is so very responsive and just plain nice. She had some great suggestions and advice. Clearly a great family who own and manage this property. We were sad to leave and can't wait to go back!

A wonderful week away
This was an amazing place to celebrate the end of summer and enjoy a little together time as a family before the beginning of the school year - truly so beautiful and lots to explore if you like to get out on the water. We rented kayaks and poked around the immediate coastline and several islands open to public access. The house itself was so comfortable - very clean and had everything we needed to feel at home! We hope to return again soon.

Comfort with coastal views
Staying here was like being a part of the of the area. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the wonderful vistas. Cooking in the kitchen was a pleasure thanks to its design. Although it didn't have the latest in granite countertops, etc., it had features you can't buy and I was twice as efficient as usual! We appreciated the solitude and natural setting. Communication with the owners was special as we learned about the family and the area. It was obvious that the place is much loved.

Stunning views of Stonington channel
Beautiful, remote-feeling retreat, with gorgeous sunrises, morning runs through woods, waking to soft sounds of lobster boats and seabirds.

Our family has been coming to Spruce Harbor on Deer Isle, Maine since the early 1900s but we didn't build our own houses until the 1960s which is when the Main House was completed. The Cottage was built up the road in the 1990s. Both were built by our family, with the help from dear friends. We have spent many summers boating, exploring, swimming, cooking, kayaking, and just sitting in awe wondering how a place so magnificent has been a huge part of our lives and who we are. The exquisite beauty and fresh air have been enjoyed by many generations, and we don't plan to stop any time soon! We hope you enjoy our piece of heaven on earth.

What makes this property unique

The views never get old! Extremely remote and private, yet a short drive into Stonington. The perfect place to recharge your batteries and experience the best of what Mother Nature has to offer.
