This attractive Edwardian holiday home in picturesque Walberswick is perfect for a seaside break with the added bonus of parking for two cars, a sunny front garden, and an enclosed rear garden. Interiors are spacious and well-equipped for eight guests with bed configurations being two super-kings, a twin and bunk beds, plus two shower rooms and a family bathroom.
The front door is across the road from the pub and opens into the elegant style hallway with carpeted stairs rising ahead of you, the living/dining room to your left and the kitchen, utility room and shower room at the back. Guests usually access through the back of the house which is closer to the drive and parking. Wifi can be accessed throughout the house.
KITCHEN/BREAKFAST ROOM Ideal for catering at home, this family kitchen/breakfast room has units along two sides and a farmhouse-style dining table with eight chairs which sits by the double doors to the patio making indoor/outdoor living easy! Appliances include an electric oven with a four-ring hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer (5 shelves and 2 veggie drawers in the fridge, 2.5 drawers in the freezer), a dishwasher, a kettle and a toaster, and there’s a Magimix Nespresso machine in the utility room (please bring your own pods).
UTILITY ROOM Convenient for sandy feet and beach gear, this room is accessed from the side of the house with doors to the kitchen and shower room. There’s a washing machine and a butler’s sink.
SHOWER ROOM Fitted with a good-sized shower cubicle with a fixed shower head, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail and natural light.
LIVING/DINING ROOM This sociable living/dining room with light streaming in through the sash windows and door to the patio, is sure to be at the heart of your holiday for family dinners at the handsome marble table or lazy afternoons playing games (there’s a great selection, and DVDs in the cupboard under the stairs) in front of the wood burner with your choice of music playing on the Sonos speaker.
FIRST AND SECOND FLOORS Carpeted stairs rise to the first floor which is split level, the bunk room and bathroom up a couple of stairs at the back, and the twin and super king bedrooms towards the front. The relatively steep carpeted stairs and hand-rail rise to the second-floor landing and bedroom with en-suite.
FRONT BEDROOM Wake to the sun rising over the beach huts and sea beyond in this beautiful big bedroom where the super king-size bed sits between bedside drawers and there’s additional storage in a wardrobe and two chests of drawers, one with a TV perched on the top.
TWIN BEDROOM Next to the front bedroom, this room is furnished with twin beds with a cabinet between them and storage in a wardrobe and chest of drawers.
FAMILY BATHROOM A large room with natural light thanks to the big sash window where the bath sits at one end, the wash basin and WC at the other, and a heated towel rail (towels for all guests are provided) in the middle.
BUNK BEDROOM Sitting quietly at the back of the house with sturdy bunk beds and a chest of drawers.
TOP BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM Perched on the top floor, this bright bedroom also has a super king-size bed between bedside drawers, a generous chest of drawers and some hanging space. EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM There’s a shower cubicle with wall wall-mounted shower head, a WC, a wash basin, a heated towel rail and natural light.
OUTSIDE 6 The Terrace sits back from the road with a front garden, mostly laid to lawn with well-established shrubs and a bench where you can enjoy your coffee whilst catching the morning sun. The gravel drive wraps around the house to the back where there’s off-road parking for two cars with an EV charger beside a gate into the enclosed garden, mainly laid to lawn with well-established borders, a charming summer house and a charcoal BBQ (perhaps bring some coals etc. with you). A path from the parking leads through a gate to the utility, kitchen and dining room doors.
